I am looking for help with gardening and Diy work at my little chateau with its four acres of parkland from September 15 until end of November.
I also want to clear junk out of two turrets and a cellar..how much can you convince me to throw out? Someone good at selling stuff on ebay etc would be great.
I usually only take couples or two or three people travelling together, but single travellers may be able to join others already here.
I like lively, humorous, energetic, hard working couples. It is very sociable here. Shrinking violets tend to find this a bit off putting.
I have two dogs who love everyone..they are Cockapoos.
You will be staying in a lovely en suite room, as I am stopping guest house activities in September.

Beautiful, historic chateau from 1870.
Set in idyllic country location. Near all the major tourist sights - Mont St Michel, Bayeux tapestry and the D Day beaches.
Happy to take up to six helpers during this period and varied skills are welcome.
I don’t usually only take couples or friends travelling together as I find this works best for everyone at the chateau, which is in the middle of the countryside.
However, builders, decorators, handy diy-ers or seamstresses are often welcome as solo travellers, especially if I have other helpers already here.
There is no public transport in the immediate area. However, I can often drop you at a railway station. We also have two bikes. Car hire is reasonably priced if you fancy some serious sight seeing. It is way nicer for you if you can drive here in your own car.

We are ideally placed for three amazing historic sites - the D Day landing beaches, the Bayeux tapestry and Mont St Michel. They are all an hour away. Lots of other stuff - castles, abbeys etc
We are 3km from a village and 10km from the city of Coutances. The beach is 12km.
Our nearest railway station is in the cathedral city of Coutances, which is ten minutes away. This is where I can pick you up from.
Car sharing is a good way of getting here. Ideally ask to be dropped off at Belval Gare which is between Coutances and Saint Lo. Check out Blah Blah Cars.

The accommodation was amazing. Jon found us work to do out of season. He was clear with his intentions and well organised. He was flexible with our working hours and we worked with autonomy. We were proud to leave his kitchen freshly painted. Jon looked after us well and we had all the comforts we needed and he provided all the food we asked for.

Jon is a great guy, he is easy going and the Place is really nice! I went there off the season so i did some jobs in the grounds and gardens. I did some hard work, but nothing to bad. that was a really great time! Jon is a very easy going guy and an amazing chief (not cooker please! :) ). He even drove me to the main second world war points (omaha beach, american memorial...). It's located in a beautiful landscape.

Jon was a tremendously accommodating, generous and friendly host. This is a beautiful place, and it was a pleasure helping out. The type of work I did varied a lot, but the work load was never too taxing. A very enjoyable experience indeed.

I would have Corinna and her partner Cara back in a flash. Corinna is a great seamstress and Cara a superb carpenter. They did some brilliant work around the hostel, but they were also a joy to have around. Just watch them at cards - they both like to win (although Corinna pretends she doesn't!!)

John was very generous to us. He fed us well, toured us around the region and was a pleasure to spend time with. His cats are fantastic and the house and grounds are beautiful. We would go back in a heartbeat.
