This shelter works to rescue and rehabilitate dogs from the Thai and Cambodian meat trade. We are always looking for volunteers to come and give our dogs all the love they deserve!
We are located in Ban Kruat, Buriram, Thailand which is easily accessible via plane, bus or our own private taxi service. We are a non-profit organisation and offer accommodation and food free of charge.
No previous experience working with animals is necessary as staff are always on site and ready to help train volunteers.
Volunteers can stay for a maximum of 2 weeks, staying for a longer period of time needs to be discussed during their stay.

Volunteers will be a part of a unique organisation that is on the front line rescuing dogs from the Cambodian dog meat trade. Through this experience they will learn how to train and socialise dogs, how to spot medical conditions, basic Thai and they will also learn the routine of running a shelter.
They will get the opportunity to help form the organisation as it develops and be a vital part in providing the dogs with the care they have never received before.
Volunteers would be involved in day to day care for the dogs, including walking, feeding, cleaning, training and general loving! We also have a cat, chickens and a lizard on site that are always looking for attention too.
There is the opportunity to be involved in our daily food runs, where we drive around the local area feeding and giving medical care to hundreds of street dogs or foster dogs with local families and temples.
Other roles can include medical care, maintenance and building if volunteers have previous experience.
Our accommodation includes a large, gated 3 bedroom house with shared bathrooms and Wifi. Bedrooms are supplied with a fan and the doors lock. Our accommodation is round the corner from the main road in Ban Kruat, a minute walk from 7-eleven, Tesco and other shops, bars and a large local market. Transportation to and from the shelter and accommodation is organised by the staff.
If we do not have rooms available in our free accommodation you will be given the offer to choose to stay at a local resort, which individuals will have to cover the cost of themselves.
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are provided at the shelter as we have a kitchen on site - if you have any dietary requirements please make them known. Volunteers are more than welcome to buy and cook their own food on site.
