Hello we are mix family : Ritney from Indonesia, Luch from Italy and two boys Niko 12yo and Leon 7yo. We have 2 dogs, many cats, flock of chickens and 3 goats.
We are homesteading in 4 hectares rancho/farm with mango trees, 10 km from the beach named Puerto Arista in Chiapas coast Mexico.
We would like to be self sustainable. We creating organic farm with no chemical use on the land.

I require minimum of 2 weeks stay , so that we can finish a project.
We expect 3 hours help/day in the morning no later than 8am before it gets too hot, 5 days a week. Saturday and Sunday is your free day.
You will be responsible for acquiring your own food. That being said, when we have extra food such fresh fish, fresh eggs, fruits, fresh milk...etc we would be happy to share. We will take you to the supermarket/fruit and vegetables market with our car once a week so you can do your groceries.

This area is well-known for their livestock such cows, locally made fresh cheese, fish, shrimp and prawns. Many affordable local restaurants serves dishes made from shrimp and fish.
This area also surrounded by mango plantations.

In general the weather here is hot. Even during the rainy season can be humid hot. After all it's a seaside town.
November to January is warm during the day and cooler in the night. The beach is at it best during this time, Calmer.
February to March is starting to get hot. During the day and sometimes at night too.
The hottest month is in april. That's when our mango trees give fruits. May is humid hot with little rain.
June is start the rainy season until October.

If you can appreciate the warm weather, the breeze that comes through the trees to our rancho, the nature, the beach, the mango season, fresh raw cow milk, fresh fish and shrimp from the fisherman... Then I think you'll like it here.

Please note when you enter Mexico at the border crossing just mention: vacation!
Never mention: work away or volunteering.
    Otherwise they'll deny you entry.

I notice that some work awayer wants to practice their Spanish language. Although we fluent in Spanish, we are Italian-Indonesian family. We speak either Italian, and English. I sometimes speak Indonesian with my children, depends on the situation. So, our household is not ideal for Spanish language immersion.

You'll experience organic homestead living. I can show you how we make our own mozzarella cheese, cream cheese and yogurt from fresh milk, making mango jam when it's season.
You can converse with us and our children in 3 different languages. You can enjoy seaside living and farm living at the same time.

Sometimes we don't have any creative project in mind or rather most of projects listed already executed, but the farm still running and in need of maintenance such:
    * Bushes / trees/ branches clearance around the property, 3 hours of physical demanding. For some this can be boring but for us is very essential, highly appreciated and such a big help

*Wooden fence fixing, to keep the cows inside the property.
