Description
We are located center of Unawatuna and right next to the railway station. Since we build up new environment past three years in the hostel, we are one of the best hostel in unawatuna. This town have many activities around us, like surfing (all king of levels), diving, snorkeling, cycling and many more.
We hosted over 300 volunteers past 3 years. We have our local paid employees for cleaning and other important tasks. To manage things around hostel we have co owner around the hostel all the time at the same time owner of the property living here, is there anything important they will help you.
We want create a team work environment specially around volunteers and management. We are looking mainly individual volunteers who wan t give good energy around customers and staff. Who would like surf every day, organize games and events, manage our social media and hosting our events these are mainly volunteer task we have in the hostel.
We are looking for these positions
* Reception and hosting
* Organizing events hosting
* Hosting organized activities
* Fitness infrastructures
* Music artists
* Social media marketing and managing
* Surfing photographers and video makers.
Out main target is looking after our guests and make sure they are having a comfortable stay in the hostel.

They can practice a local language. Spend free time at the sea, cycling, canoeing, hiking, or other beaches. In addition, volunteers can plan trips and explore the island during their off days as most places within Sri Lanka can be reached within a few hours. While each volunteer will have a roster, they will have some off days.

We are looking for Workawayers not only for daily chores, and reception, but especially creative and talented people that will add value to creating the best backpackers community - graphic designers, music artists, social media content creators, painting artists, video editors, film creators, tattoo artists, graffiti artists.

Hébergement
Each Workawayers will be allocated a Dormitory style mixed dorm room with beds (triple bunk) and a spacious shared bathroom consisting of 3 cabin showers, 3 basins, and 3 WC. Each bed is assigned a locker and a personal reading light. USB plug, which they will share with other guests, and bed linen will be provided
You can use the kitchen to cook. We don't provide meals.

Hi! I stayed at this hostel for a month and it was wonderful. It was my first Workaway experience and it couldn't have been better. Lucky is very friendly and helpful, and he involves you in all the activities (despite my English difficulties). I started my trip in Sri Lanka at Lucky's hostel and it was a great beginning of my trip. I stayed for 10 days and I had a really good time. Lucky is a helpful host and he keeps a very good atmosphere in the hostel. I definitely recommend it! :)

For me this was the first workaway I did and I'm glad I came here. The communication with Lucky went really well and he was helpful to learn the tasks in the hostel. The hostel was very social and I felt never bored there. The social calendar is also a plus! Thanks a lot to Lucky and hope to visit the place once again!

Staying at the hostel was super fun! I met a lot of new people, we had family dinners, trivia nights and so on- it was never boring :) Also If you like yoga and surfing thats the right spot for you! The work in general is very chill and you have a lot of free time. So glad i decided to come!
