My name is Angelica I have been living for 40 years in Uruguay, in the department of Lavalleja in a small town in the mountains called Villa Serrana with my horse riding horses and my dogs and a cat.
Villa Serrana is a very quiet place where only 130 people live in permandent form and has the peculiarity that animals graze freely in their landscape.

The house continues under construction and repair of some vices that have appeared in the construction, it was done by self-construction, with the help of family and friends, it has mixed electric and solar energy, library, resting spaces with hammocks, independence,

The minimum stay will be one week, and the maximum flexible depending on the profile of each assistant.

The activities to be developed are: 1) help in organic garden (preparing the land for planting, planting, watering, harvesting and maintaining fences) 2) restoration and maintenance of the house and its various pastures, 3) care of animals (horses, dogs) , cat), 4) help with workshops in the assembly of picnics in the events and elaboration of some foods.

Currently I live alone and I am dedicated to the coordination of courses and workshops. I am also a guide for horseback riding and walks, I coordinate a project called Villa Serrana on horseback or on foot! I manage the funds obtained through the PPD-MINTUR small donations program, where we designed a path that unifies the community of Aigua and Villa Serrana. Attempting to incorporate inclusive activities, learning to train equine therapists and human auxiliaries.

Caring for and taking care of 10 horses and other animals + the house has become a full-time task that does not allow me to develop other ideas due to lack of time.

I try to learn English that will facilitate my work and photography

I would like to have help to train horses and dogs, improve the place with an artistic touch and teamwork, creative, dynamic, practical, participatory and obviously enjoy the human enrichment that means the cultural exchange that occurs.

Volunteers should be people who like to spend time with animals or outdoors, because work is divided well into these 2 large areas, animals and outdoor spaces, and I want volunteers to feel happy with the tasks to be done.
Hours and days of volunteering are flexible. Much of our work is subject to weather.

We are not vegetarians sometimes we consume fish we respect the different options of each one. We cook in a common place, the food is shared and the schedules are coordinated.

A space to connect with the senses and interpret nature, surrounded by natural countryside- native mountain, glens and varied autochthonous fauna, silent, organic very alive.

Mi nombre es Angélica tengo 40 años vivo en Uruguay, en el departamento de Lavalleja en una pequeña localidad en las sierras llamada Villa Serrana junto a mis caballos de cabalgatas y mis perras y una gata.
Es un lugar muy tranquilo donde habitan apenas 130 personas en forma permandente y tiene la particularidad de que los animales pastan libres en su paisaje.
Nuestra casa está ubicada en Villa Serrana departamento de Lavalleja.

La casa continua en construcción y reparación de algunos vicios que han aparecido en la construcción, se hizo por autoconstrucción, con la ayuda de familiares y amigos, cuenta con energía mixta eléctrica y solar, biblioteca, espacios de descanso con hamacas, independencia,

La estancia mínima será de una semana, y la máxima flexible dependiendo del perfil de cada asistente.

Las actividades a desarrollar son: 1) ayuda en huerta orgánica (preparar el terreno para plantar, plantar, regar, cosechar y mantener cercas. 2) restauración y mantenimiento de la casa y sus distintos potreros, 3) cuidado de animales (caballos, perros, gata), 4) ayuda con talleres en el montaje de picnic en los eventos y elaboración de algunos alimentos.

Actualmente vivo sola y me dedico a la coordinación de cursos y talleres además soy guía de cabalgatas y caminatas, coordino un proyecto llamado Villa Serrana a caballo o a pie! Administro los fondos obtenidos mediante el programa de pequeñas donaciones PPD-MINTUR, donde diseñamos un sendero que unifica la comunidad de Aigua y Villa Serrana. Intentando incorporar actividades inclusivas, aprendiendo a formar co-terapeutas equinos y auxiliares humanos.

Cuidar y atender a 10 caballos y otros animales + la casa se ha vuelto una tarea de tiempo completo que no me permite desarrollar otras ideas por falta de tiempo.

Trato de aprender inglés que me facilitara mi trabajo y fotografía

Me gustaría poder contar con ayuda para entrenar a los caballos y las perras, mejorar el lugar con un toque artístico y de trabajo en equipo, creativo, dinámico, practico, participativo y obviamente disfrutar del enriquecimiento humano que significa el intercambio cultural que se produce.

los voluntarios deben ser personas que les guste pasar tiempo con animales o al aire libre, porque el trabajo se divide bien en esas 2 grandes áreas, animales y espacios exteriores-, además deseo que los voluntarios se sientan contentos con las tareas a realizar.
Horas y días de voluntariado son flexibles. Mucho de nuestro trabajo está sujeto al clima.

No somos vegetarianos a veces consumimos pescado respetamos las diferentes opciones de cada uno. Cocinamos en un lugar común, la comida se comparte y los horarios se coordinan.

Un espacio para conectar con los sentidos e interpretar la naturaleza, rodeados de campo natural- de Monte nativo, cañadas y variada fauna autóctona, silencioso, orgánico muy vivo.

Detail of each activity

1) Prepare compost land we use domestic and rain water for irrigation, the seeds come from exchanges, what we produce is for our consumption in small quantities, mainly aromatic plants, collection of aromatic and medicinal herbs, keep clean and tidy and cultivate the garden ornamental.

2) Collaborate with painting, cleaning, maintenance of the areas of the house, collaborate with recycling, plastic and organic tasks. Collect firewood in the surroundings of the house.

3) Caring for animals, horses and 2 small bitches, feed, walk bitches, brush, heal, keep clean and tidy all the equipment for horseback riding

4) Collaborate in the workshops held with children and with people from different NGOs.

Detalle de cada actividad

1)      Preparar tierra compost utilizamos aguas domesticas y de lluvia para riego, las semillas provienen de intercambios, lo que producimos es para consumo nuestro en cantidades pequeñas, principalmente plantas aromáticas, colecta de aromáticas y hierbas medicinales, mantener limpio y ordenado y cultivar el jardín ornamental.

2)      Colaborar con pintura, limpieza, mantenimiento de las áreas de la casa, colaborar con tareas de reciclaje, de plásticos y orgánicos. Juntar leña en alrededores de la casa.

3)      Cuidado de los animales, caballos y 2 perras pequeñas, alimentar, pasear perras, cepillar, curar, mantener limpio y ordenado todo el equipamiento para cabalgatas

4)      Colaborar en los talleres que se realizan con niños y con personas de distintas ONG.
