  Description

  We are a couple of retired persons living in a traditional farmhouse in Umbria that overlooks the Roman and medieval town of Amelia (Umbria) and its ancient walls. We dedicate to cultivate about a hundred olive trees producing olive oil for our family. We also have a garden area where it is possible to eat ouside and rest in the shadow. In the past we used to have some yard animals (chikens and turkeys) but now we feel too old to continue taking care for them. The house is in the middle of nature but there are several neighbours not too far.We live in a separate ground floor area of the house whilst the guest accommodation is on the 1st floor at the far end of the property.
  
  Privacy is maintained through a separate private entrance, a private panoramic roof terrace, patio and a large expanse of the properties grounds, which slope down the hill amongst age-old olive trees. A large fireplace is the feature of the sitting room whilst there is a fitted kitchen area with dining space. The house is well equipped including WIFI and air conditioning.
  
  Amelia offers several opportunities and local Roman sites including a Roman cistern. Umbria's sites are all easily reached from this handy base including Todi, Orvieto and Spoleto whilst a direct rail service nearby provides connections to Rome.We'd like to host people that love peaceful and natural places far from large cities, traffic and crowds.

  We expect to have a friendly relationship with our guests. From our side we can offer conversation in Italian and introduction to local cultural sites .Our countryhouse in located in Umbria 110 Km North of Rome. It is sorrounded by 1,5 hectars of land. The nearest village in 1,5 km far. Places of interest in Southern Umbria (Orvieto, Narni, Todi, Sangemini, Spoleto) and Northern Lazio (Orte, Montefiascone, Bolsena, Viterbo) are all within easy reach by car. From the nearest railway stations at Narni (13km), frequent trains connect to Rome in 35-45 mins.
  The town of Amelia offers several facilities including a large swimming pool.

  Aide

  We are looking for some easy agriculatural help in change of hospitality for short or long-term periods during 2025 summertime (mainly July and August). We are not an organization/project/farm, we are single individuale ( a couple of retired) living in a coutryhouse with some land and olive trees. Oil production is only for family consumption.
  We will be there most of the time, but we might stay away a few days for business.
  
  In this case we would ask our guests to look after our 13 years old dog and water the garden. Willingness to cooperate and exchange is at the basis of the relashionship we would like to establish. However we prefer people with their own car, since our place is in the countryside and is distant two km away from the town of Amelia. Basic knowledge of Italian is an asset.

  1st Floor (10 external steps from private part of house): living room with fireplace; double bedroom; fitted kitchen/dining room; shower/WC. Roof terrace. Private patio. Garden. Satellite TV. Air conditioning.
  
  We offer our guest(s) an full equipped flat with bedroom, kitchen facilities, bathroom with shower, living room, terrace and patio.
  
  The kitchen in perfectly equipped and guest can independently organise their own food . Guests can prepare their own food in the kitchen, but also dine with us if they want, in order to enjoy cultural exchange.
