  Description

  We need volunteers !
  
  We are a nonprofit school, committed to help and support differently-abled children, promoting social inclusion and providing an inclusive education in Máncora.
  The school offers children with disabilities an individual education for better quality of life, and support to children's families (many in a delicate economic situation). To support this dream, we provide teachers, physiotherapists and language therapists to the children. Therefore we can help them to improve in all areas of life.
  
  Besides this, we are looking for ways to solve social, economic and ecological problems. We are therefore currently involved in sustainable development projects.
  By strengthening gardening at the school and sensitizing the childrens' families to give them an option to live in a more sustainable and independent way, we hope for a positive influence on society.
  Our vision is to raise a sensible, healthy and thoughtful generation with values of respect and supporting each other and the surrounding nature.
  
  We promote love and environmental awareness!
  
  We are currently accepting volunteers for multiple positions as follows:
  - Teachers & teachers assistants (English, art, sport...)
  - Special education teachers (for children with disbilities)
  - Physiotherapists
  - Language therapists
  - Therapy assistants
  
  Volunteers are welcome to stay in different facilities: at the two volunteer houses, at our neighboring property. There we have shared rooms for our volunteers to live in during their stay with us. There is also a kitchen for the use of the volunteers,
  teachers and Director are training to volunteer so don´t be scared to come.
  
  We also have a farm which is associated with our school. We are accepting volunteers who wish to help on our beautiful goat farm located just outside of Màncora. Send us an email to find out more about this opportunity.
  
  The work schedule is from Monday to Friday, either in the mornings or in the afternoons (4-5 hours). You will have the half of your day + the entire weekend free to explore Màncora and surrounding areas!
  
  It is necessary for all volunteers - who wish to assist in the school - to have at least a basic level of spanish in order to be effective at the school. Basic level of English is preferable, especially for the ones giving English classes.
  Since we work with children we are looking for volunteers who have experience with children, who are reliable, and trustworthy.
  
  I also wanted to tell you that the association does different fundraisers sometime in the weekend: such as auctions of used objects, material made by children (key rings, paintings, fabrics, etc.), we request a voluntary donation of S/400 soles for month from our volunteers; Everything is exclusive for our Integral Project (Education, health and Environment) and basic services.

  In living and working here you have the opportunity to dive deeply into the language, our everyday life, and way to work. English speaking people are rarely found here, so a basic level of Spanish is required and of course, we are happy to support you in advancing your language skills. We currently have an English-Spanish translator but Spanish knowledge is still recommended, especially working with the students.
  Moreover, we are a family run program, and invite you to feel at home with us.

  Aide

  We look for volunteers like described below:
  (for the work with kids please prepare a CV/resume)
  
  We especially appreciate professionals like physiotherapists, psychologists, special needs education teachers, and social workers. To work with our children and their families and/or to give some advice and ideas, how to advance our own work.
  
  If you are not a professional or specialist, but you have any other experience in working with children, especially differently abled children, we would also love to have you here supporting our work. In that case, we prefer you to stay at least three months so that the children can get used to you and the other way around too.
  
  Besides working with our children, there is the possibility to work with the plants around the school and give support to some agricultural work and with our animals in the countryside. If you have special knowledge, which could help us realize our vision of a sustainable and healthy life consistent with nature, we would love to have you here, to exchange ideas and gain inspiration.
  
  In the end, there is always the opportunity to create a project and collect donations. Whether it is specialized for one part of our association or the whole one.

  The volunteer houses are small bamboo houses close to the school.
  - Shared room of 3 beds mosquito nets OR room of 2 beds mosquito nets.
  - Shared private bathroom in the house (cold shower)
  - Outdoor kitchen.
  - Outdoor chilling place.

  -Wifi only at the school.

  Autres infos...

  Mancora is a beautiful beach town in the north of Peru. Known for tourism, there is always something fun to do here. Surfing, kite surfing, scuba diving, restaurants and beautiful beaches are just some of the amazing activities Mancora has to offer. It is always good weather and the sun shines almost everyday.
  
  We are a 20-minute walk from the center of Mancora, and 30-minute walk from the beach, or just 5 minutes by mototaxi (for 3 soles). There are a few restaurants and small shops near the school, where you can buy some food and other necessities.
