Manon : Hello ! I am Manon, I am a clinical psychologist
I worked in foster care and private office before dedicating this year to my second biggest passion in life : travelling. I am currently travelling the world with my partner and we try to make our travel as ethical as possible. We are open minded, respectful and curious about our surroundings. In this travel I am looking forward to humbly make new encounters, learn about other cultures and helps project as much as I can. I am also a musician (I sing, play guitar,write) and love to dance ! I would be delighted to learn about you, from you,and to be a useful member of your community as long as you need me.

Lucas : Hello, my name is Lucas, I am 21 years old and I am currently taking a gap year to travel around the world for 10 months with my girlfriend. I have completed my double degree in economics and sociology in Nice, and now I am embarking on the most incredible adventure of my life. We are traveling the world to discover cultures, landscapes, and ways of thinking that will help us grow and become the best versions of ourselves. On WorkAway, I am primarily looking to participate in social, human, and animal projects, because I have always wanted to help people and animals, and it seems important to me to be able to do so, even if only on my own small scale. It is something that is really close to my heart.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Manon : Thanks to my psychology degree I am able to lead individual therapy or group therapy. Thanks to my work in foster care I also have skills as a youth educator and I am able to teach basics of a language, learning and behavioral skills through games, reading, and more structured classes. With my music and dancing experience in France I am able to create
music or dance workshop especially for chilren and adolescents. On another subject I spent all my life with animals since my parents have their own small farms. I am then able to take care of them in many ways (feeding cleaning caring) and I am at ease with very different species (birds, rabbits, cats, dogs, chicken, fish etc).

Lucas : During my bachelor's degree, I worked as a private tutor for all levels, so I have teaching skills for all types of subjects and all ages. I am also able to teach guitar, as I have been playing for several years and am a guitarist in France. I am also able to look after children of all ages, from babies to older children, as I come from a very large family and am the eldest of all. I am also a quick learner, so even if I don't know how to do something today, I will be able to do it tomorrow, which means I can be useful in any situation or for any task. I am a quick learner, which allows me to adapt quickly to new situations. Even if I am not yet proficient in certain tasks, I am able to learn them quickly in order to contribute effectively where I am needed. I love animals and have always enjoyed taking care of them since I was a child.

Manon : I love to spend evening talking and learn about others, but I can aslo be very discreet if you're not comfortable with that. I love being able to share my point of interest but also to discover news ones. I love reading, doing sports (dance, yoga, bodybuilding, cardio, crossfit) I would love to learn more about meditation which I love. I love working with kids and families in my job and would love to do so while traveling and volunteering as well. I am very touched by the well being of animals and I am vegetarian. I am passionnated by art in ll its form and also very interested by philosophy.

Lucas : I am a shy person, but I am also very open and enjoy exchanging ideas and discussing all kinds of topics. I really enjoyed my undergraduate years, during which I studied economics and sociology, subjects that fascinate me and in which I have a keen interest. I am eager to continue learning more about these disciplines. I am very passionate about music. I grew up in a family of musicians, so it was only natural that I continued on this path. That is why, in France, I have a band with my girlfriend where we compose our own songs as well as covers of well-known bands. I really enjoy looking after children and spending time with them; it is always a very rewarding experience. It's true that when I was younger, I also spent a lot of time playing video games, which I really enjoy because of the possibilities they offer, whether it's pushing myself to new limits, meeting new people, or just having fun. In Nice, I'm a member of a tennis club because I love playing tennis and I really enjoy sports in general, especially playing soccer. I'm also a huge motorcycle enthusiast because we're a family of bikers and I've been riding since I was a kid. I started when I was five with my cousin, and we've never stopped since, whether in the forest, on the road, or on the track. It's really something that makes me feel alive.
