We are so grateful to the Abt family for making our first workaway experience so amazing! Everyone was so nice and made us feel very welcomed. The house is very comforting and its surroundings so peaceful, making it beautiful for walks and bike rides. At the same time it is very convenient for getting to Berlin, which we took advantage of a few times.
Thank you again, Maren, Claus and Linus for letting us be a part of your home!! We wish you all the best and hope to see you again!

… read more outstanding cooking skills (Damn those baguettes and Pizza were delicious :D ) the work is flexible and I enjoyed doing it, is not very hard and the instructions are very clear.
I enjoyed helping in many areas :
- Feeding different animals
- Cleaning the horse manures
- Gardening
- Preparing the soil for tomatoes house

I had the opportunity to experience my first WorkAway with the Abt Family, which exceeded my expectations.

… read more the pond, walking with the horses, reaching near villages on foot or bike, enjoying a beer and watch a movie by the fireplace...
The job was pretty enjoyable, it allowed me to get to know the animals better and to spend some time in nature on my own. My duties were finished in the morning and I had the rest of the day just to spend as I'd like.
Maren, Claus and Linus were the bests hosts I could ask for, I really enjoyed the time we spent together. I never felt like a WorkAwayer or an outsider, but a member of their family. They showed me other ways of living, thinking, eating and loving.
During my stay, there wasn't a moment when I felt unsafe or uncomfortable. Even though I was around the house or visiting other cities they always helped me with whatever I needed.

… read more room was really comfortable.Distance to Potsdam and Berlin it's not too much (20-40 minute)but u should go to train station ,it's far to home 20 minute by bike (i was biking slowly,maybe u can make it 15min. idk)

We had a wonderful time with Roza and her travel mate! Both shared inspiring experiences with us, broadening our view on the world further. They did a great job helping us on our farm and finishing quite a few procrastinated projects! Big thanks and hugs from the guinea pigs! Emma also sends her regards!

It was a wonderful time with Jérémy! He did a great job on our farm and was a very friendly, communicative companion. Jérémy worked very self sufficient and started repairing things without much instructions needed. Great that we had the chance to meet him! Always welcome back again!

I spent a wonderful week with Maren and Claus ! They had been very welcoming so i felt at home very easily.
Their place is really relaxing, with a pond where you can swim wich is really enjoyable during summer. The room and facilities are very confortable.

I went to Potsdam, by cycling to the train station, it's quite easy.

I spent a wonderful month with Maren, Claus and their children Robin, Linus and Louisa. They are welcoming, friendly people and they make you feel at home. We spent a lot of evenings together chatting, sharing our experiences, eating Claus' pizza and drinking beer.

… read more ways, like walking with the horses, with the dog Emma and by bicycle. They also have a sauna and a nice pond in which you can relax. It's easy to reach Potsdam and Berlin so you can enjoy both the countryside and the city life.
The work isn't hard at all and it's actually enjoyable, it's about feeding the animals, cleaning the field, walking with the horses (that are so lovable) and renovating the fences. In summary: outdoors life, nature and animals. So if you like this lifestyle, you will love this place.
I'm so grateful that I had the opportunity to join this experience, the least I can do is highly recommend this place.
