  Description

  We are a well-known animal rescue organization located on the beautiful island of Langkawi, Malaysia. Dedicated to rescuing , spay and rehabilitating stray and abandoned animals, particularly dogs and cats, the organization provides shelter, medical care, and a loving environment for animals in need. With a focus on promoting responsible pet ownership and animal welfare, this also works to raise awareness about animal rights and the importance of spaying and neutering. Visitors can support the cause by donating, adopting or volunteering, helping to improve the lives of many animals in the region.
  
  We’re a small, hands-on team. Our town has one shelter where we currently care for around 55 dogs. I also foster about 20 dogs and puppies at my home, set among beautiful rice fields. Our focus is rescue and a spay-and-release program, as Langkawi faces serious challenges with stray dogs and there is limited government support.
  
  My name is Roziah. I dedicate my time and energy to the welfare and feeding of stray dogs on the island. I'm passionate to reduce the stray population through consistent neutering and spaying.
  Volunteers will work alongside me on a day to day basis feeding dogs, cleaning the shelter and feeding dogs several places around the island. You'll be welcomed in my home where me and my husband Roni welcome you. You will be sharing a room with the housekeeper. You’ll share a room with our housekeeper. In your free time, feel free to enjoy the pool and the beautiful surroundings.

  Learning about how to organize and take care to animals in a small shelter, knowing about animal welfare and issues that we have in the island regarding stray animals. Have a very different and satisfying experience, give loves to beautiful dogs that need just care and safe place.

  We need someone loves animals and is happy to help in the shelter and of feeding stray around the island. Plus cooking and help with cleaning at the shelter, and if you have any vet skills then help with animal need/ vet attention.

  Hébergement

  We offer standalone staff quarters featuring a shared two-person bedroom with an attached bathroom, alongside kitchen and laundry facilities. Because the room is shared with our current female housekeeper, this volunteer position is open to female applicants only. The property offers a serene setting surrounded by rice fields and rubber trees, with a river flowing directly behind the grounds. Volunteers are welcome to cook their own meals on-site, with all food fully funded by the host (money to purchase their own food to cook on premises).
