    Description

We are a family of 3: Sarah, Giuseppe and Nina (6 yo). We live in Padua and are both attorneys at law, but Sarah works between Milan and Paris and therefore travels a lot while trying to stay home as much as possible.
We already have a very itinerant and international life, but we have decided starting next year to spend the three summer months in the USA, in New York, where Giuseppe's aunt and cousins live and where we often visit (Nina loves her cousins!). For this reason, we would like Nina to learn English well, so that when she'll arrives in NYC next year she will feel comfortable, and, generally speaking, that she will feel more and more a part of an international community ...and we also want to have this new experience with her!

Nina goes to school from Monday to Friday and the school is at a walking distance from our apartment. We would ask our guest to pick up Nina after school (at 4 pm) and stay with her until we arrive home (sometimes 6 p.m., other times 7.30 - 7.45 p.m.).
About twice a week also Nina plays sports, but we are still planning the sctivities for this new year :) We don't need help all days, as Nina sometimes gets out of school at 6 p.m. and other times we directly pick her up. We always take her to school in the morning but it might happen that we need some help.

So, in general, during the day and the week-end, our host will have a lot of free time!

We already have help to clean the house, so this will not be required, but we do ask, exactly as we do, to help each other (maybe prepare a meal, maybe a washing machine when needed) and to keep the room in which each person lives tidy and clean (yes, we really love tidiness and cleanliness :)).

In addition to being a lawyer, Sarah is also a yoga teacher, so we could practice together whenever possible (the house has a room especially for yoga practice, overlooking a large terrace).

But whatever our guest will love and is looking for, we will do our best to help him/her finding it and making him/her feel at home in Italy.

We will be happy to take our guest deep into Italian culture, both from the historical, articstical point of view as well as food and wine, as well as (if desired) teaching Italian (which is our mother tongue, but we also speak English and Spanish and Sarah also French).

The most important thing for us is our babygirl to be well behaved and happy, and we believe everyone she gets the chance to know can teach her something that we may not know ourselves.

As we wrote, we don't need constant help, but we do need someone to help with Nina, taking into account that she goes to school every day and is normally with us on weekends.

From our side (the parents), we enjoy cultural exchanges, for instance, we will be happy to teach how to cook Italian food and to learn some new typical dishes! We both love good wine and Sarah is an excellent cook.

We live in a beautiful city, Padua, close to the historical center, very organized with all transportation (trains, buses, streetcars, bicycles and scooters for rent, Venice airport is about 40 minutes away and is served by shuttle), not far from the sea (about an hour), the lake (about an hour from the very famous Lake Garda) and close to the Dolomites to be able to go skiing in winter in wonderful places (2h30 from Cortina D'Ampezzo). In short: you can have fun and also excellent cultural experiences (Venice is 20 minutes by train, Florence 1h30, Rome 3h, Milan 2h, etc...). Padua is also surrounded by hills, where you can go hiking and stop to eat in the beautiful restaurants that are open all year round.

I work in Milan 2/3 days a week, the rest of the time I work from home (downstairs in the living room) in remote working. In our host's room, which is double, there is a big desk where he or she can comfortably work. The internet connection covers the whole house. Nina gets out of school at 4pm, so the Workawayer should be free for that hour and in case of emergencies (e.g. if Nina gets sick, which fortunately almost never happens :))
