We are a British family who have lived in France for the last 30 years. We have a smallholding (small farm) of abour 6 hectares (15 acres) and for the last 10 years have specialised in seasonal cutflower production.
We also grow vegetables and fruit on organic and permaculture principles. Many (but not all) of us are vegetarian. We do have some animals on the farm, (chickens, sheep, poneys, donkey, dogs, cats) which are part of the process in terms of land management, compost production, etc, but are not eaten (with the exception of eggs).
As the flower growing only involves a small area of the land, we are currently rewilding some parts to create wildlife habitat.

S’occuper des animaux
Flower production techniques. No dig and permaculture practices. French/English language. Discover Normandy.
There are always general jobs that need doing on the farm including help with gardening and maintenance, flower growing, animals etc. The work is physical but varied depending on season and weather!
Accomodation will be a bedroom in a shared house, suitable for a single person.
We are in a in a small village with its own pizzeria. There is a collection of bikes available and we are surrounded by quiet roads and tracks, and we are about 40 minutes from the coast.
Just over half an hour away are the towns of St Lo, Bayeux (of tapestry fame) and Caen with its museums, and William the Conqueror's chateau. The WW2 landing beaches are 40 minutes from us.
The occasional loan of a car could be possible.
