Shalom
Our home Guest House includes 6 private rooms and 1 dormitory (up to 20 guests), a large communal kitchen and dining area, living space, Shared bathrooms, a yoga wooden dome and a dry sauna. Outside we have our own small park with hummocks and sitting areas and also our sauna.
We are located in Odem forest national reserve, in the north of Ramat Hagolan, in a tiny village called Odem. This is a beautiful area and showcases nature at its best – Surrounded by Odem (oaks) forest with its many hiking trails and only a short drive from springs and streams, waterfalls, mountains, and many historical sites from all times.
Around us in the north of the Golan there are few more villages - some Israelis - "Kibbutz" and "Moshav" (Hebrew names for different kinds of villages) and some are Druze (a unique religion – special people that we are very close to). All places around are relatively small but very modern and you will find life here peaceful and relaxing.
We have space for up to 4 people and the Workawayers share a room together.
Working hours are flexible. It can be daily shifts or bigger projects when we work longer but have more days off.
Daily help includes cleaning and making the beds, explaining the guests about the area, work in the garden and from time to time some building and art projects. Together we also create a good atmosphere in the guest house. We are not going to lie to you - a big part of the help is cleaning the hostel and keeping it clean but most people find it a place they like to keep clean.
In return you will get to live in a beautiful place where people come for vacations, and the guest house will provide everything you need. A comfortable bed in the room, food supply (volunteers cook their own meals), the feeling of home, and a lot of free time and priceless tips to enjoy the area.
Sometimes we take the car and go to a nearby river or waterfall to spend the day. The guest house takes care of all costs.
As our volunteer you will be welcome to stay for free in some other hostels in Israel and use your days off to travel and see other parts of this small but diverse country.
We love doing new projects and open to new ideas so if you want to be a part of something special in the beautiful Golan Heights of Israel then respond back to us and letting us know what magic you can bring.
We are looking for those who can stay for at least 3 weeks.
If you are looking for a place to party and put in minimal effort to get a bed, this is not the place for you. If you are looking to be part of a winning team that provides a great working atmosphere and lots of benefits, go find a job that promises all of this.
But if you want to be a part of a family that believes we work hard so that we can play hard, then this might be a good place for you to check out. We could promise all these magical things to get you to come work here but in the end the magic is in you and the other helpers.
We want you to be a part of the guest house. Someone who loves and cares about it the way we do. We want you to be excited to get the place ready to welcome new travelers but we also want you to be excited to meet the new travelers.

*️️️️️* "Host offers payment" - This refers only to helpers with a work visa. Please note that if you are interested in receiving payment, you are required by law to have a work visa.
Public transportation in Israel is pretty good and getting here is very easy, "Ben Gurion" airport is the one you should look for.

The Golan is 1800 km² of nature... all kinds of nature. Dormant volcanoes, thick forests, springs, streams and waterfalls. Ancient sites, settlements and castles. Dozens of nature parks, and hundreds of marked and unmarked hiking trails. Around us in a walking distance are 4 Druze villages that will give you a glimpse into a secret world of special people and amazing food :-)

Apart from our "formal" tasks of making the beds, cleaning, check in and out, we all have the time and freedom to do everything we like - cooking, gardening , handcrafting, or spending the day in nature, hiking, cycling or just relaxing. We all live at the guest house and take care of it together, we share and we care for each other, a place of trust.
