Help with some outdoor projects in Mihi, New Zealand

  Description

  A small rural property located half way between two beautiful tourist cities - Rotorua and Taupo where travellers are welcomed! There is a large garden and vegetable patch which are always in desperate need of constant weeding and there may be other odd jobs around the property - depending on your skills and what needs doing. :-) There may be some help required for feeding out my horse and picking up poop 😬 (but tools are provided!) but she may or may not be on the property - depending on grass availability. There may be small maintenance jobs to do and sometimes cleaning - what can be done will be dependent on skills available but we are keen mainly for any assistance with gardening work, pasture/paddock maintenance. Any landscaping skills or building skills would be very much appreciated!
  
  The property is cute and has a beautiful, peaceful outlook over a river.
  
  We are about 35 mins away from the very popular tourist city of Rotorua - lots of thermal baths and activity to see as well as tourist attractions like the luge, gondola and Redwood forest and biking trail. Taupo - also a very beautiful city with one of the largest lakes in New Zealand and close to the Tongaraio Crossing - is 25 mins away.(The Alpine crossing is 1hr 25mins). We also have the thermal island, Orakei Korako about 20 mins drive up the road. Other places to see a little further away are Hobbiton and Waitomo Glow worm caves. Days off to site see can be negotiated depending on length of stay.
  
  We are on a tank water only and have a septic tank.

  There are two beautiful tourist cities quite close by.

  Aide

  Help on maintenance paddocks, loads of gardening, weeding, fence repairs, a bit of digging and assistance with setting up paddocks etc. Any landscaping or building expertise would be greatly appreciated! May also be help with cleaning around the home - windows, decks etc
  
  Hours can be a little negotiable depending on circumstances but normally between 3-4 hrs daily. If you enjoy cooking, your skills would also be appreciated. Dinners are provided only (preferably not vegetarians or vegans - as my skills are limited!) but a fridge is available for storing your food for breakfasts and lunches.

  Hébergement

  The accommodation will either be in the main home with a double bedroom and separate bathroom - which is also the main bathroom. There is a lovely little deck outside the door of the room. Food preparation will be shared if in the main home. If you are buying and preparing your own food, hours can be negotiated.
