Description
My name is Ramira and together with my two sons (7 and 10) I live in Leersum, Utrechtse Heuvelrug in the Netherlands. Leersum is a small town with a few shops en restaurants. We live serounded by a very nice group of neighbors.
We are surrounded by beautiful nature: forests, heath, farmlands and rivers. We love spending time outdoors. Walking, running, cycling and swimming or just going out and having a picknick. I also like reading, singing, dancing, yoga and CrossFit. I value true connection with others. In my job I help people with non-congenital brain damage make the most of their lives. My sons attent a Waldorf (Vrije school) nearby where I like to help out when needed.
We have two cats and sometimes have a dog staying with us.
Together with my friend I am renovating my house. He is a Carpenter/Handyman/doer of magic. I visualize al the wonderful things I want to do with the house and he figures out how we can make it work and then does the more complicated parts of the job.

In the past I have traveled a lot. Just spending time with local people thought me a lot about the country's and cultures I stayed in. In opening our home to you we would like to do the same for you. We can teach you about Dutch culture, habits and customs. Sharing stories and involving you in our daily lives, taking you along on activities when possible.
We’ll introduce you to typical Dutch foods. And recommend things to see and do once you spend time in the Netherlands
We can help if you are learning dutch and/or english.
While you are here we would love to learn about your culture and language

I would like help with some of the renovation projects in our home. (Right now the main focus is the basement area. ) As explained I have help from my friend who comes in and does the professional part of the job, but an extra set of hands is always welcome. I have so many projects in my head but just not enough time to do them.
Building a jungle/castle-room for the boys, etc etc.....
Help consists of: carpeting, painting, putting up wall paper, putting down flooring and preparation for the more professional jobs etc.
If renovating is not your thing there are always other chores to do in, or around, the house:
Organizing, cleaning, gardening, chopping wood etc.
Do you like to cook? I love to learn new recipes and /or enjoy someone else's cooking.
Some days we work on a project together and sometimes we will work on separate projects.
So it's a plus if you are willing to work independently when I'm not available.
At the moment we can host a single traveler, or two traveling together.

You will have the use of our kitchen. We will provide ingredients for all breakfast and dinner. If I/we are around we can eat meals together or you can take you'r meal to your room. Thea and coffee (Nespresso), milk and sparkling water are provided. Special drinks, alcohol (in small amounts) and snacks wil have to be bought by you.
Autres infos...
When not helping around the house, you can go out in Nature, explore the small rural villages around us or take a bus (and train) to one of the bigger city's of the Netherlands. Since we live in the middel of the country you can go via Utrecht to any major city's. There is a direct bus to Utrecht with a stop just 5 min walk from our house.
If we go places you can ride with us.
There is NO SMOKING in or around the house.
Since I live with my two boys it is important you enjoy spending time around kids. They are polite but will be interested and can get a little rowdy sometimes.
Some days I do not check my email, so if it takes a little longer for me to react, please bare with me
