  Description

  My name is Marta (42 years old), and I live with my son Hugo, who is 6 years old. Very close to us live my parents, Hugo's father, my aunt, and grandmother. We do not have pets. We all live in a very lovely neighborhood, free from all kinds of danger, and where kids play in the streets and go with their bikes all around. Just in front of our house there is a big playground (with a calisthenics equipment to exercise), and close to it there is a social club (with a bar).
  The neighborhood is located under the mountains, just 5-10 minutes by car from the beach (50 minutes walking, or 20-30 minutes approx. by bike). It is situated in an unsurpassable landscape, ideal for walking or doing sports.
  The temperature is very pleasant, hot in summer, but we have a large swimming pool at home, the beach is also nearby, and it has a wide promenade for walking, cycling or doing sports.
  The bus is 5 minutes walking form home and goes to city center and the beach.

  The whole family lives in the same neighborhood, so we share meals and celebrations very often or enjoy being together in the pool. Also, more family friends with children live in the neighborhood, and stay at the playground. The person will be able to enjoy this familiar and pleasant environment, learning from our customs and promoting mutual enrichment.
  
  Moreover, in the neighborhood (and close to it) there are normally other Workawayers taking care of kids too, which is an opportunity to meet more people.

  English native speaker to share family life and spend time with my son in the beautiful city of Benicasim (east of Spain).
  
  What we need is very easy: someone who loves and enjoys playing with children, my son Hugo, and communicates with him in English, he understands (almost) everything and he speaks English too, so the requirements are:
  * To love playing with kids (initiative and proactivity is expected, otherwise he will get bored and will reject you).
  * I don't want someone who is passive and inactive.
  * To communicate with him in English all the time (not to stay quiet expecting him to interact with you; he will do it anyway ;-).
  * To help him with his speaking (he tries but is still grammatically incorrect), correct his grammatical mistakes when he speaks (just repeating the right way).
  * Obviously while playing with a 6 years old kid you will need to take care of him (he thinks is a superhero and therefore has super powers, which indeed is true ;-)
  
  And do not forget that he is a child (not an adult), which means being respectful to him, showing interest and affection, otherwise the child perceives disinterest and rejects the person (who is not interested in being with him).
  
  A responsible person (with education and hygiene) who is easy to get along and to live with is also expected (all this is common sense to me, but often not so common :-).
  
  We live in a big house with a garden, so there is a lot of space to play, with a swimming pool, and a playground in front of the house. I will normally be at home, since I work from home, also my family is normally around (they live in the neighborhood), so you will almost never be alone with Hugo.
  
  Valencia is just 1 hour trip by train, and Barcelona 3 hours by train, if you want to travel on weekends.
  
  I’m sure you will enjoy being here! We’ll do our best for you to be comfortable :)

  Hébergement

  The person coming will have her own bedroom (with one big wardrobe, one bed, one desk, bedside table, chairs, mirror, shoemaker). She will share the rest of the house with me and my son: one complete bathroom, one living and dining room, one kitchen, a big entrance (as a game zone), big garden and swimming pool area. There is wifi Internet connection. Meals and food are also included.

  Autres infos...

  We live in a very touristic place, which has plenty of entertainment. First, we have a pool at home. Second, the surroundings are very beautiful to walk around (mountains and lot of greens). Third, there's a bus stop 5 minutes from home to go to city center (plenty of cafeterias, supermarkets, shops of all kinds...) and to the seaside (there different water activities can be done; there are also bars and cafeterias, and a great walk, skate and bike area). You can also go by riding a bike (30 minutes approx.), which we have here at home. In summer there are different music festivals such as FIB (International Benicasim Festival; of indie music) or Rototom (reggae music). Of course, there is a lot of nightlife too. Benicasim is a beautiful place to explore and enjoy the Spanish culture.
