I had a great time in Washington at Peter's place! You're within walking distance of the subway, the college, and a nice brewery. The dogs, Memphis and Mason, are super sweet. I walked them 3-4 times a day (sometimes the younger one I would take on a run before walking both dogs since Memphis is full of energy!). I still miss them! You do have to

But they're sweet dogs happy to learn (I taught Mason to balance a bone on his nose!) and just hang out with you. Super sweet, if untrained, dogs, a great location in a safe neighborhood, and almost anything you'd want within walking distance. Definitely make sure to go check out DC and the many amazing museums while you're here!

It was wonderful to share this loving home made up of Jud, Peter and dogs Mason and Menphis. I enjoyed his company, the house and the neighborhood and most of all helping Jud.
I felt at home and although my level of English is not enough to understand all the good conversations that took place at the table at dinner time, I really enjoyed those

In order not to lengthen and repeat what my predecessors have written, I will summarize my stay as I was happy all that time.

Mahnoor was a huge surprise and I cannot say enough about her. First let me say I was very concerned about leaving the care of my elderly father in such a young persons hands and chose to have two Workawayers as I would be traveling. It was not long after Mahnoor's arrival and due to unforeseen events, this young woman demonstrated to me and many

Within a short time after Mahnoor's arrival she showed more intelligence and responsibility than the other Workawayer who was ten years her senior sharing the responsibility. It wasn't long before I realized the other woman demonstrated she was more of a problem than one wants to have in your home and told her it was not working out. I worried about Mahnoor's state of mind as I think she liked at least having the company - though she new the other woman was a problem. This all changed and Mahnoor rallied from her own insecurity and loneliness when my father, on a walk with Mahnoor and the dogs, took a fall while I was traveling overseas. Mahnoor went into overdrive acting with superb judgment calling me the instant he fell and in getting my father safely home. Once at home, it became obvious to me that more help was needed after Mahnoor preformed some exams I requested her to do on my father. She called and stood by as the peramedic transport people came and performed the same exams, and, per my request, transported him to the hospital for emergency hip surgery. Frightened, Mahnoor was by his side through this ordeal even after I returned and again when I had to leave and he went through three weeks in a physical therapy hospital while suffering from sundowners. I have owned many large companies and employed thousands of people in may life and never have come across someone as smart, dedicated and responsible. Says a lot about her upbringing. If you are lucky enough to find her writing you to do a Workaway, you'd be lucky to have made her acquaintance.

I had the most extraordinary time staying with Jud and Peter for a little over 4 months. Jud is such an amazing kind strong person. The daily routine was very simple and easy which allowed me to explore so much of DC and Maryland. Jud is an easy going person and doesn’t need much to be pleased, a very simple man. His son Peter was just as amazing
… read more as his father. Peter is very caring and has this very go go go attitude which keeps him busy 24/7. I learned so much about myself and what I am capable of doing and I have no one to thank but Peter and Jud and I will truly be thankful to them forever. As this was my very first workaway experience I couldn’t have asked for such great hosts. They really made sure I felt like it was my home too and that I got out and explored all that there was to see. My most favorite memory was when Peter took us all to visit Annapolis to grab some lunch and explore, and that was where I saw Amish people for the very first time. It was truly such an amazing day and I had so much fun seeing everything. I would 100% recommend this workaway to anyone who wants to just get out there and explore and learn a lot from both Jud and Peter and just have such a great time.Vous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.

You couldn't ask for a better guest. Estevao fit in like your favorite glove. Always upbeat and interested in learning. I had the chance to Stay with Peter and Jud for 10 months and it was a great time. for me as a person! Taking care of Jud was such a honor. I could learn and have fun being around him pretty much all the time! Peter is a very wise man, and he is always eager to help you with advices.
