    Description

We are a multicultural family, dedicated to the creation of a holistic healing centre while living and working in harmony with nature on a few hectares of pure Mayan jungle, located in the area of Puerto Morelos, a super friendly and relaxed international town right at the Caribbean Sea of Mexico.

Our hearts and hands are devoted to manifesting the vision of a sacred space where each person can experience the joy and beauty of self-empowered healing. Our aim is to create a safe haven for people to explore their innermost selves and access their own power for personal growth and transformation.

We envision to offer a variety of healing modalities, from energy work to meditation, yoga and mindfulness to traditional practices like sweatlodges and plant teacher ceremonies, sound healing and more, that allow visitors to embody and connect with the divine healing energy within them.
We also hope to foster a sense of community by providing regular workshops and events on topics such as sustainability, permaculture and conscious lifestyle practices around health and wellbeing.
Our long term goal is to create a self-sufficient community of healers, teachers and students that come together to learn and share their knowledge, arts, wisdom, and unique experiences in an atmosphere of mutual respect and acceptance.

We invite you to join us on this journey of discovery and transformation and witness the beauty of coming together as one family during the beginning stages of creating a healing sanctuary in the Mayan jungle.

We believe in the power of community and seek to create a space for sharing experiences and learning from each other. We want to provide diverse opportunities for personal growth, where people of all backgrounds can explore different aspects of sustainability as well as physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being.
Potential volunteers joining this project should be prepared for an immersive, meaningful experience that promotes both individual evolution and environmental stewardship. Volunteers can expect to learn a variety of skills, from permaculture to traditional healing and mindfulness practices, they will also participate in a variety of service activities such as building infrastructure, teaching opportunities, and developing community gardens.

We are working on building a harmonious community and invite you to join our everyday life and grow with us in this process.
We believe in the unique value of every single being and in healing ourselves as individuals and as a unit through developing and sharing our essence thoughtfully. As we strive to create a space that encourages people to reconnect with their true nature, volunteer participation in our diverse activities will become an integral part of our mission in order to bring about personal transformation.
We are in the early stages of bringing this vision to life, and we invite those who join us to bring the intention of honoring, helping, and supporting each other.

While the volunteer experience will be enriched by connecting with people from many different cultures and the area makes it very easy to meet people from all over the world, native wildlife here is just as diverse: from the majestic jaguar to the curious coati, deer, mountain peacocks, foxes, mapaches, zereques (adorable rodents resembling enormous mice), crocodiles and a plethora of bird species, which make up just a few of the wonderful inhabitants of this area.

In addition to experiencing the beauty of the Mayan jungle where our project is situated in, the village of Puerto Morelos is located on a beautiful Caribbean beach with clear water. On weekends, there is a market of handcrafted unique pieces of art. And the botanical garden is worth a visit as well.
The area of the Riviera Maya offers a lot of cultural activities, and there are several Cenotes (natural swimming pools with crystal clear water from the underground rivers) in the close surrounding. The world famous archeological site of Chichen Itza is about a two-hour drive away.

Our sanctuary is just 7.1 km from the main beach, making it easily accessible by bicycle in about 30 minutes. There a bikes available for volunteers to go around and visit the village and beach.
Before activities for the day begin, we like to take a group trip to the beach in our truck to watch the sunrise or enjoy a swim. We also often make trips to the beach in the afternoon after work, or on weekends, which is a great way to be and relax together.

From Puerto Morelos, there are mini-busses going to other nearby towns like Playa del Carmen or Cancun. Since there is a lot to organize, we also go around by car oftentimes and will happily give you a lift if needed.

While it is not essential for volunteers to possess any particular skills before joining us, it is important to us that those who come to dedicate their time and energy to our project truly come with an intention of developing a deeper connection with the vision of the project and all it includes, such as the people, the earth, the jungle, and nature in general.
Therefore, we ask that those interested in volunteering commit to staying at least three weeks as a sign that they are here to learn and evolve as well as to give and take part in a meaningful process of reciprocal exchange.

    Working hours and distribution:
We ask for volunteers to help out on the project for 5 days a week, for about 5 hours of actual work on those days.
The typical day for volunteering activities starts at 8 am, and finishes at 1.30 pm (there is a 30 minutes break at 10 am).
We would like for you to be involved daily half of your working time in one of the ongoing projects, as to join forces, but also to experiencing the coming together as a group and co-create. That is, if you’re not already otherwise busy that day, we will all work together on something as a group; this may be a building project, a new trail project, gardens development, permaculture stewardship, harvesting, and so on.
The other half of the day will center around a volunteer's own project; something that you are responsible for and signed up for either in the morning or in the beginning of the week and where you will work on either on your own or with other helpers that day.
The intention of this style of work distribution is to create an enjoyable and diverse experience, however if the idea of working in this way does not suit you, we are open to arrange an alternate schedule.

There are many different tasks within our project in a variety of areas you can get involved with and you can choose from which fits you best. All of these roles are essential in helping us establish a supportive, empowering environment focused on health, healing, happiness, peace and sustainability.

Construction, building and working with wood
We love building, so we appreciate those volunteers who can bring vitality and physical strength to our project and are willing to assist with the construction processes at different sites throughout the project. Those with experience in or willingness to get involved with architecture and construction and working with natural wood, are invited to help in invention and elaboration of our diverse artistic structures. With the chance to learn about details of creating beautiful and unique organic designs and playing with sacred geometry, you will be joining a team of humble and dedicated original Mayan builders and craftsmen in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. If this sounds like something you would be interested in, please let us know and join the team!

    Permaculture and gardening:
We are seeking people who have a genuine love for gardening and permaculture and are eager to get their hands and feet into the earth.
Our permaculture project at this point covers about 3 hectares and most of it is real jungle forest, mixed with young organic fruit crops like Bananas, Mango, Maracuya, coconut and so on, and we also love to plant and care for flowers and shrubs that attract and feed insects, butterflies and birds like colibríes.
We recently began planting and cultivating an array of local agricultural crops in our raised garden beds. We are always in need of help with the ongoing maintenance of these plants and require assistance in getting more fruit trees and vegetables growing. To help in this area within the project, volunteers will have the chance to participate in a variety of tasks, such as composting, preparing bags with compost earth, keeping, propagating and planting seeds, transplanting, watering, maintaining pathways by raking, rearranging fallen stones, painting small pieces of wood with the name of certain plants so they can be easily identified, creating large pots and raised beds with stones and filling these with fertile soil, planting, harvesting, as well as cutting and collecting plant material and carrying it to designated compost areas. Please be aware that this work requires long pants and closed shoes.
If you are passionate about nature and organic gardening and are not afraid to work physically then this is the perfect opportunity for you to make an impact.

In addition: Right now, we are looking for one or two persons with an interest in compromising for at least 6 months to our permaculture project. We have a great teacher at hand that will explain everything from scratch, so you don't need to bring the experience, only the interest in learning and making yourselves responsible for at least six months.

    Plant based meal preparation
We are currently seeking volunteers who are passionate about creating nutritious, plant-based meals for our family, volunteers and other guests to enjoy. The head chef, generally supported by another team member, will be responsible for preparing the breakfast and lunch meals and ensure that they are comprised of high-quality ingredients. We especially love to prepare fresh foods as well as creating huge salads to enjoy together.
This position includes managing grocery lists and and trips to the stores to gather the necessary ingredients.

Helping with daily chores in and around the house
We are also looking for volunteers who are willing to assist in and around the house, taking care of chores and kitchen logistics that need to be attended on a daily basis.
This includes washing dishes, sweeping floors, keeping the kitchen clean and tidy, roasting and peeling cacao, maintaining the refrigerator and freezer, keeping the table clean, reminding others to wash their own plates, managing water supplies, keeping toilets and volunteer spaces clean and tidy, maintaining paths, taking out organic waste and burying it in the compost heap, taking out non-organic trash, and keeping clean common areas as well as maintaining our natural stone pool.

    Yoga
We are also in search of an experienced yoga practitioner or teacher to guide daily classes that promote physical and mental wellbeing for the family, volunteers, and ultimately the public. The intention is to slowly build upon these classes, establishing a strong foundation of long-term health benefits that will be sustained over time.

    Childcare
We are looking for volunteers who are enthusiastic about interacting with children, providing quality childcare, and creating engaging play areas. If you are experienced in childcare you should take the lead in caring for, playing with, and eventually also teaching the children some of your personal and developed skills, such as languages, music, art, and more.
Additionally, we seek those with creative minds as well as the skills to build permanent or semi-permanent playgrounds or activity spaces for the children of various ages. If this is something you wish to pursue, please let us know your experiences and preferences for working with children.
Single women and families traveling with children are more than welcome to join our tribe! We are passionate about fostering a supportive, nurturing environment for children, and make sure to provide plenty of opportunities for them to integrate with the other kids in our community.

    Art and creativity projects
We welcome all artsy people and creatives to join us and share their talents; whether it be painting, decorating, doing mosaic work, creating play areas for children, making objects, sculptures, weaving baskets, macrame art, stone carving or other self-guided artistic projects. Those who wish to make music, singing or playing an instrument, are also encouraged to come and teach music to kids and other volunteers, and may even have the option of turning their sessions into public events. Whichever way you choose to express yourself, your unique skills will be sure to add a special touch of beauty to this space.

    Share your passion!
If you are an expert in any kind of field - be it any kind of art or sport, alternative healing, breath work or other holistic medicine and therapies. Or if you know how to lead holistic group sessions or circles, guide meditations..the list is infinite, but you get the point - please share you’re skills and arts with all of us. If you are an expert in any kind of field and would normally charge for your service and skills, teaching those is also considered working hours

    Stewardship of volunteers
Additionally a long term position of stewardship is open; we are looking for a person which serves a a guide, introducing the project and the grounds to newcomers, as well as providing orientation and organizing activities and events for volunteers.

    Hébergement

Until we start building single huts that are completely in harmony with our environment, we offer volunteers to stay in tents or in cozy prepared spaces created with big canopy mosquito nets and light cloth curtains and a mat with sheets for privacy and comfort, on the second floor of the main big house (see pictures to get an idea of the glamping-style accommodation!)
You are invited to either bring your own camping gear, tents, sheets or let us know what you will need, so we make sure to provide you with a tent or net, mattress and bedding.

For personal hygiene, we have a dry toilet on site and a beautiful rustic wooden spiral outdoor shower offering privacy (see pictures).

Since our project and sites are constantly changing and evolving and we wish for volunteers to feel as comfortable as possible, although, for now, life is quite simple here, please feel free to ask or let us know up front anything you feel important, so we can find a satisfying mode of living together for everyone.

    Food
On your working days you receive three meals a day, which is breakfast, lunch and dinner and fruits during the morning break.
Cooking or meal preparation happens as circumstances and we all flow together. Generally breakfast is made by a volunteer steward for the others, the same goes for lunch, in that we normally agree upon one person who does the food preparation. Dinner is open for everyone to be their own chef or by spontaneous joining of two or more people.
We have fruits, vegetables, oats, tortillas and other basic ingredients as well as fresh water available at all times.
Volunteers have their own personal box where they can store non-perishable food items like fruit, while any items that need cooking can be kept in the fridge.
On the weekends, if not otherwise agreed on with the hosts, volunteers provide for their own food. If you stay over the weekend, we offer a lift to a fruit shop or supermarket before the weekend, so you can buy what you need.

Meal times are generally as follows:
    Breakfast: 7:30 am
    Morning break: 10 am
    Lunch: 1:30 pm
Dinner: Open, but usually between 5-7 pm

Food is generally vegan, however vegetarian options are available for those who prefer it.

Since this place is dedicated to health and harmony on all levels, we wish to keep the whole territory free from any kind of drugs and ask you to respect this. Please stay pure while you are here and also keep your body temple clean from any kinds of smokes, alcohol or other recreative drugs.

Be mindful in words and actions - personal opinions, sensitive issues, emotional discussions or even disputes - there is always a certain time and space for meetings which you, between another or the whole group, can arrange together. Before reacting take a deep breath and wait.
Also be super conscious that there are children around - and discuss certain topics only after making sure it’s appropriate for little eyes and ears.

Something we very much encourage is that volunteers interact with the children. We consider children true masters and teachers. Therefore, give your best to stay in the present with them in a conscious and respectful manner. As children absorb their environment like sponges, it is important to act and talk as a role model, and share positive moments together.

Help us in that this space and the whole project will become a little bit more beautiful every day you are here - so give attention to the details and ask yourself “how can I make a positive contribution?”

Please be aware, that our project is a matter close to the heart of the initiators, far from being a professional business. We continue learning a lot about the well-functioning of processes involved and counting on your patience and understanding, while inviting you to communicate to us your needs as well as ideas. We will do our best to establish a satisfying experience for everyone.
Feel free to approach us and talk about any issue, personal or regarding the project that you have - and please give us feedback so we can learn !

    Muchas gracias y bienvenidos !
