Description
We are a small family lodge on Lake Atitlan in Tzununá on Lake Atitlán.
We are currently renting out 6 private cabanas/apartments and 7 beds in the shared dorm room
We are directly on the lake in Tzununa. Great views, a beach, good for swimming.
We only take single people with experience, who can stay a minimum of 8 weeks.
We offer a share of the tips, food ( 2 meals a day on shift ) accommodation, laundry. 2 days off a week. Use of paddle-board, free tubes.
We like general all rounder people that can work with a team, have customers service skills with clients and are flexible and grounded.
Our lodge was co created by Fiona and Chris and a local family, it has taken 14 years of building to be at the stage it is now, the land was barren, we have been open as as a lodge for about 10 years
We employ people from the local village of Tzununa, we only have work exchange volunteers to do tasks the local people can not do at this stage, we hope to be able to train the local people to perform all tasks in the future.

The work exchanger will be working with the local indigenous staff, we hire one family, our manager is from the local village, 7/8 local workers, we have two/three /four work exchangers. We like to have a supervisor who we pay to stay a while.
The local staff are from Tzununa, they speak spanish as a second language, mainly they speak Kachiquel.
The volunteer has the opportunity to learn the local customs, improve Spanish, explore the lake, have fun, meet people, go to events and classes, swim, paddle-board etc.
It is a great opportunity to explore the lake, swim, hike, tube, take yoga classes and courses in holistic studies in the nearby village of San Marcos for example.
Aide
We are looking for one person to help at our lodge : at reception, help around the lodge, checking rooms, general day to day tasks of the lodge. Experience preferred in restaurants, to help train local workers.
A good allrounder.
We provide food and accommodation and a share of the tips.

Bed in a 4 bed shared spacious lake side cabana with large balcony, each bed is separated by a divider for privacy, reading lamp, power points, with large balcony with hammocks, great views, right on the lake. Hot water showers, coffee machine, drinking water, WiFi. Mini fridge
We have very good internet Wi Fi all through the lodge.

We are directly on the lake, We have road or boat access , 20 minutes from Holistic center San Marcos. Perfect location imbetween SAN Marcos and Tzununa.
Lodge is a great place to explore the lake,easy to travel by boat or road. We have road and lake access.
Free use of have tubes, Stand up Paddle-board the perfect spot to sunbath, swim, we also have a beach and very good hikes.
The lodge is directly on the lake, we are a chilled fun place to volunteer at.
All our work exchangers have enjoyed their work exchange and always like to stay longer than planned.

Simply the best! Stayed at this place for almost 4 months and I can't recommend it enough. The manager and the owners made me feel right at home as soon as I got there. Very beautiful and peaceful property right on the lake where you can watch the sunrise and swim everyday. The work was fun and easygoing.

This is a well-established and beautiful business operating in between Tzununa and San Marcos. You can easily walk to both towns and experience their individuality.
