  Hi! I'm Frederik, a retired gentleman living in the heart of Amsterdam looking for general help around my home. I've lived in Amsterdam all my life and have been showing people my beloved city for years. I love the concept of the Workaway community, locals making a cultural exchange for locals in exchange for loving care and small acts of charity- truly making the world a better place, wouldn't you say?

  I offer a private bedroom in a small flat, just a few busstops or a 20 minute bicycle ride from the city centre. I maintain a schedule every day of breakfast in the morning, lunch in the afternoon, and a dinner in the evening. All I need to know in advance is if you will be eating in or not. The help I need would not be overwhelming so there should be ample time to explore the city and beyond . Of courseI am at your disposal for a never ending supply of recommendations for things to do and don't while in this country.

  In my later years, I'm in increasing need of general assistance keeping up my home, from the occasional maintenance project to helping me shop for groceries. I also have a lush garden on my rooftop always in need of loving care.

  My flat offers a warm guest bedroom with a desk, a single bed, and a private rooftop terrace. Privace is about 90% guaranteed as I have to be there sometimes. All meals are offered as part of your stay here. I don't claim to be a good cook but I can put a decent meal on the table.

  My home is 15 minutes away from central station by bus or tram and I believe the appeal to Amsterdam truly speaks for itself. I am a Roman Catholic and a few times per week I work as a volunteer in the cathedral and basilica of St Nicholas in the centre of Amsterdam.
