We spent almost two weeks at Leon's and Maxim's wonderful place. We were welcomed in their countryside home, where there is a lot of nature. The house is super big and beautiful, with lots of things to be discovered. It is constantly evolving with multiple projects happening in and around the house, which adds to its charm. We usually cooked and

The working hours were flexible and were accomodating to the heat during our stay. We were always enthusiasticly instructed by Léon. There was lots of guidance, patience and trust when showing us how to do our tasks. Most of the time, Leon worked with us. The things we built were made to last and in with respect for the surrounding nature. We could always ask questions about the work, our stay or any other things.
We did several activities together (e.g. local markets, wakeboarding, jam session) We also had lots of time to explore the countryside by ourselves and more than enough time to relax. Thank you Leon and Maxim. We hope to visit again!

My time at Leon's place was great! I only stayed there for 6 days and I wish I could've stayed longer. The main task I did was gardening, which included clearing paths and watering the garden. It was not demanding and I could do the task whenever I pleased. On my free time we went kayaking, rock climbing and even paragliding! (though I prefer

I had an amazing time at Léon's place! Me and the friend I was going with both stayed longer than we initially planned for, I personally stayed two weeks instead of one week. When we arrived there was another workawayer from the Netherlands, so we were with three workawayers. The work included planting potatoes, helping a little bit with doing
… read more some work on an extension of the house, weeding, and we built a cage for the goose. Léon likes to party and we went to a festival and a party at the kayakclub which was really fun. We also did some watersports at the kayakclub and went to see a kayaking competition which was also really fun. The area is very beautiful and there were at least three bikes so we could cycle to the town of Foix and back on our own (if you are able to cycle some steep hills). The outside area of the property was large enough so you can always find a secluded spot to chill, there's a stream on the property which was amazing because it's basically a private place. Léon's English was good so when we didn't know how to say something in French we could always resort to English (or German, in theory). On Fridays we went to the market in Foix which was nice because there were a lot of stands and it's well-organised. The wifi was good in some places but not in the room I stayed in. Léon and his brother were very nice, not demanding at all, and we could work around the hottest time of day when it was warm so that was considerate, also it was so much cooler inside the house than outside! They actually do smoke which I didn't mind at all but they forgot to put that on the profile. The work wasn't too hard or too much. Maybe bring your own spices if you like spicy food. Overall I'm feeling very grateful for the experience!Vous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.
