Description
We are a community project based in San Luis, Colombia. Our mission is to help people in our community learn English and improve their opportunities for work, tourism, and connection. We offer accessible English classes for all ages and levels.
We are at the beginning of the project. We have a place where we teach; we already have one group of the motivated students; we are forming a group for kids at the moment. We need a volunteer who has experience with teaching adults and kids and has an idea about methodology.
If you want to practice Spanish and get to know Colombian culture, it's the perfect place for you. You will stay by one of our members, who speak limited English, so you will have enough opportunities.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

Echange culturel et opportunités d'apprendre
As a Workawayer, you’ll become part of our community and daily life. You’ll be warmly welcomed and treated like a member of the family or team. We interact closely with our volunteers — sharing meals, stories, and experiences. You’ll have many chances to engage with people of different age groups and backgrounds, which makes the exchange truly rich and meaningful.
You’ll be invited to join our community’s activities — such as hiking, birdwatching tours, swimming trips, or workshops. If you're curious, you can also learn about and get involved in personal projects like cacao farming or permaculture gardening.
This is a great opportunity to improve your Spanish through real-life conversations, and in return, we hope to improve our English with your help. We’re also open to learning from your culture, skills, and ideas.
Volunteers are encouraged to share their interests and talents — and to explore what makes our community special. This exchange is all about connection, growth, and shared learning.Aide
We are looking for a volunteer who is passionate, organized, and experienced in teaching or supporting English learning for both children and adults. Depending on your skills and interests, you will assist with informal learning activities, conversation practice, or creative lessons. You’ll have support from our team and be part of a friendly and collaborative environment. Join us and contribute to meaningful language exchange in our community!

People in our community speak mostly Spanish, some of them some English. Me, Daniela, helping with organization. I speak English, German, and Czech. If you want to practice your Spanish, you will have enough room.Hébergement
We offer a room in a shared apartment with one of our members in a town. You will have a private room for you, and you share a bathroom. You can use a kitchen and common areas. Being in the town offers you the perfect spot to visit cascades, hikes and swimming holes close to the town. Our place, where we give classes, is just a few meters away.
We provide 3 meals a day as part of the exchange for up to 25 hours of help per week, with 2 full days off. Whenever possible, we enjoy sharing meals together, as it’s a great opportunity for cultural exchange and connection. When shared meals aren’t possible, ingredients will be available for you to prepare your own food.
