  ABOUT ME:
  
  Hello! My name is Alma, I am a colombian writer and teacher in a rural high school. I am also very interested in sports such as cycling and skating, as well as in arts such as literature and dancing.
  
  I am very interested in astrology, mayan culture, meditation, yoga, reiki, feng shui and in general all healing practices of the spirit and body. I have several musical instruments at home that we can play.
  
  I am a neurodivergent, H.S.P. (highly sensitive person) and I have a preference for vegetarian food but sometimes I eat fish.
  
  ABOUT THE PLACE:
  
  I have rented a country house on the outskirts of a small town called La Paz in the department of Santander. It's not far from "Las gachas" Guadalupe and Florian in the "ventanas de Tisquizoque", Barbosa, Moniquirá or Tunja. Towards the northeast of the country. It is a charming place for contact with nature, read, write ✍️ and to know the local culture in the rural context. This place is not tourist and the people are always impressed of you
  
  I have received travellers for 5 years (most of the photos are from this experience) and have used this volunteering platform that seems great to me and I am very grateful that it exists :)
  
  The road to the village is unpaved and it is best to arrive at the village on a Wednesday or Thursday so that you can travel in the car available in the region. The cost of this ticket is between 20 thousand Colombian pesos or 22 thousand pesos.if you want to arrive at any time it is also possible however the cost of transport would be by motorbike and costs around 50 or 60 thousand pesos.
  At this time I only have accommodation or lodging for one person
  
  THE VOLUNTEERING EXPERIENCE:
  (Right now I need help for the month of July)
  We need your help with house keeping and imrovements ofthe surrounding, such as the garden, the patio, assistance in food preparation and pet care. If you know how to paint murals we also need help. The residence is very close to the high school and the community is quiet.
  
  But you will only be able to take two hours at the school in the week, because that is the time allowed by the director, the remaining time is to help beautify the house we are staying in.
  
  For your volunteering it is not necessary that you are a teacher or have experience as an educator if you want an educated experience in the school, it is enough that you have a spirit of service and are encouraged to contribute to different projects. If you have the practice, it would be awesome to do Vipassana meditation, yoga, Tai-Chi or a vow of silence one afternoon 🕉
  
  At the moment we can't offer you the food but the activities are very simple and relaxed with only 15 hours a week of collaboration.
  
  ABOUT ACCOMMODATION
  
  Private room with double bed and bedside. Bathroom shared with me. This option is for weekends. From Monday to Friday the option I offer is private room with single bed and shared bathroom with me and the local person.

  Rest in the hammock. Read, watch a film, make a campfire, go for a walk. The area is very quiet and people like to keep it quiet. There is a camping area. I have a Swiss dog.
  I prefer vegetarian food but it won't bother me if you eat meat
