Description
I am Marissa, from the US. My husband, William, is from Tanzania and we have 3 children. We run holistic health and education programs in Moshi, Tanzania. We are working to build up a permaculture garden and start training locals in permaculture and natural building techniques. We also host kids camps and yoga retreats throughout the year. In the past few years we have had trouble growing food organically, and would love to have someone who can help us through this process.

Echange culturel et opportunités d'apprendre
Tanzania has many cultural gems. We are 30 minutes from beautiful hot springs, waterfalls, and hiking. And our daily lives are also very integrated with the local communities and tribes such as the Chagga and Maasai. We will help you integrate into the community and culture! We also host retreats and camps, so there is lots to do aside from having hands in dirt :-)

We are a family of 5 with holistic health and education projects in Moshi, Tanzania. We have a property which we are building cob houses and have a (struggling) permaculture garden. We are looking for someone to help us with our natural building projects and permaculture garden.
We are looking for a person, a pair or friends, or a small family to help us with our natural building projects and our organic garden project. We would need help with things like small landscaping, help in the garden, small repairs to the house, as well as some DIY projects if there is inspiration; for instance creating an outdoor seating area, or a cob pizza oven. Ideally, folks have either some knowledge and experience of organic gardening, natural building, landscaping, or just generally being handy people...OR a lot of creativity, inspiration, and skills to oversee a project.Langues parlées

You can stay in our small cob cottage on our property in Moshi. Our home is on the same property.
We can offer local meals and food, and can make sure that if needed, our volunteer is also able to make some meals on their own with a cooking set up in the small cob house. However, we are also open to having someone join us or the local staff for meals as well. Eating out, or special foods/snacks that the volunteer would like to have will need to be purchased separately. We can certainly take shopping trips to town together.Autres infos...
There are many opportunities for local experiences such as cooking classes, yoga classes, etc. And transportation with a bajaji (tuk tuk) is readily available to get around town.
No we will not ask for payment or fee in exchange for the work.Informations complémentaires
