Our hearts are filled with joy after being at Nicolas and Cristinas place. From the beginning on we felt welcome and in the end our cozy little caravan felt like home. Being hosted by Nicolas and Cristina was great, because they both are amazing and we loved to spend time with them. The work is mostly physical like for example gardening and
… read more cleaning. My favourite part was to drive the tractor, which is hella cool. Langeland is a quiet and peaceful little island, where we loved to hang out with the other workers, ride the bike or walk with Baloo at the beach.
We already miss him 🥲
It was a great time and we would love to come back some day.

Their family dog Baloo also made our stay even better, getting to play with him and take him on walks almost whenever we pleased. The food was impeccable, offering us a wide variety of cuisines and traditional Danish & Romanian foods. We'd like to formally thank Nicolas and Christina for hosting us and giving us a truly unforgettable time in Denmark. 10/10 would workaway here again.

The work was mostly outside, and required a good physical statement but there wasn't something specific. Work was mostly about preparing to the tourist season, including cleaning around and painting. And I could always turn on music to add more enjoy to the process :)
So many things have happened during the time I stayed at Longeland. I also celebrated my birthday there and was surprised by the pretty tradition they have in Denmark for a birthday person :)
I also used to go to the coast for a walk in the mornings or in the evenings. It's in just 3-5 minutes walk from the house, and I could even see the sea from my window.
To sum up, I definitely recommend this place. The hosts are great, and the work is suitable for those who would like to work outside in a suburban area in beautiful nature.

… read more adorable living thing I know. There's often some friends or family, as nice as Cristina and Nicolas. I tasted some danish meals (very good, especially the hot dog).
I had a private room and my own bathroom, which made me feel at home very fast. My fellow workawayers and me had a lot of free time, as the tasks were easy to accomplish.
They have electric bikes which is very nice to visit the beautiful landscapes and towns of Langland.

Since I stepped into the Camping and this lovely couple welcomed me with a smile in their faces I knew I was in the right place. I really enjoy collaborating with anything they requested me to do in their camping and home, and I managed to make the best of the island during my free time with long runs or bike rides in such a beautiful place.

In my free time, I explored the island of Langeland with its perfect landscape and well-preserved houses that will make you think that you are in a Truman Show (as one of my fellow volunteers accurately pointed out!). All of this while enjoying a perfect amount of privacy in my single room.

And as a cherry on the top, their baby Björn is the absolute cutest! He is energetic and very happy and bright and I spent a lot of time with him exploring the miracles of the world.

They are super nice and funny people, the room for us was huge, they give you everything you need for a perfect stay. They helped us with paperwork (we were with a working holiday visa), they gave us tips for living and where, how to look for a place to live.

uuf how to start... It was lucky to find Nico and Cristina in the midst of the chaos that the coronavirus brought. We came to this workaway after other hosts recommended us. At first we would only be there for a month, but it turned into a stay of little more than four months and IT WAS A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!!

They have a beautiful and lovely baby (Bjorn) who we were lucky to see grow up and learn new things in his short 7 months of life, also they've a cute and playful dog (Baloo) with whom we spend many of our afternoons walking on the beach. Here we felt like at home undoubtedly.They cared that we were comfortable all time and we really were. We really appreciate the cultural exchange, all delicious meals, deep and funs talks we had and how close and friends we became.
During our stay we did different tasks such as gardening, cleaning cabins and common spaces of the campsite, painting, taking Baloo for a walk, helping at home, cooking among others. The truth was we did many things, from which we learned a lot.
We highly recommend this place if you want to have a nice experience in workaway.
