    Description

We are a small group of diverse individuals that enjoy constant change and encourage you and others to come, grow, and go as you please. Highlighted below are some ways to get involved in our vision. If you have a different idea that doesn’t fall within the confines of our initial thoughts or plans, please reach out, this is an ever evolving process and we are open to new ideas.

We run as a non-profit project and rely on our outside jobs to make money. Everything made on the farm goes right back into enhancing our homestead for Workawayers and residents.

Feeding folks is a large part of what we do, so if you are looking to expand your kitchen skills with farm fresh food, we are most definitely the place for you! Please note this is for local community and friends, so the tasks you do in our garden are not connected to the tourism/business piece of our farm.

    Forest help:
We are working on rehabilitating our forest as well as providing appropriate space for foot traffic, which includes thinning and milling wood for building, propagating useful plants to add to the forest and blackberry and other materials that inhibit the growth of existing life.

    Gourmet Mushrooms/Gardening:
Essentially we work to eat, we do not do any outside sales or markets. So all of your help contributed falls right back on to your plate!

    Animal Husbandry:
We have dairy goats, pigs and a large flock of birds! So you will have a great opportunity to learn about animal husbandry as well as processing milk and using it for additional items like soap and cheese.

In a nutshell, you get a spot to live for your trade or help, in return you put forth a minimum of 20 hours a week into a current project or farming. Length of stay can be arranged during meet and greet. We offer both food and accommodation in return for the help that you will provide us. Communal meals are not mandatory but are strongly encouraged. There are two kitchens for guests use if you would like to prepare any thing for the community or yourself. Toiletries and detergents will be provided as well. We look forward to meeting you!
