  We are a cooking school located in the heart of La Antigua Guatemala, which offers a culinary and cultural experience about Guatemalan special dishes.
  
  Our school has 3 kitchens where we do our workshops we are a small business with 5 staff members including our 3 chefs, manager and receptionist. We need to you translate the workshop into english. We have people from all over the world that want to learn how to make Guatemalan food and learn about it. Also sometimes if we are busy or our cooks have a day off you will help doing the service (washing dishes) of the workshops we do

  They will have a better perception about Guatemala by doing the cooking class, and also learn about Antigua and things to do around the area, with the market tour you will learn about fresh vegetables and fruits that are on season, if you are learning spanish this is a great way you can use those skills during the class to practice as well.

  Ajuda

  We are looking for volunteers who speak English and Spanish (other languages are welcome) for translate our classes (the classes are in Spanish). The volunteer job also demands to do other duties, like preparing the tables for the cooking class, helping with the service like washing dishes douring the class,also share “flyering” and other activities. Also sometimes the volunteers have to be the guides in The Market Tour that we offer to our clients. We usually have 2 shifts, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. One volunteer will be translating our cooking classes and the other will be washing dishes and doing the service during the class, we will like someone that loves to talk with people, bright and fun that make our customers feel home during the class. Depending on your abilities, we have extra things that you could do for us like communication duties (share flyers around the beautify Antigua explaining what our cooking school is), and other responsibilities. Normally our clients leave tips when they enjoy the classes. Tips will depend on the service you provide to the clients. The tips will be distributed in all the staff that where in the class. We have a great, fun and friendly team to work with. Besides that we are the #1 cooking school in Guatemala, especially for tourists. We include the lodging and the lunch every day at the cooking school and dinner sometimes if you work at the night classes (most of the times the dish is Pepían).
  
  Lo que buscamos en Workaway son voluntarios que hablen Español e Inglés (otros idiomas son aportes extras) para principalmente traducir nuestras clases de cocina (las clases son en español). El trabajo de los voluntarios incluye preparar las mesas para la clase, ayudar con el servicio de limpieza y lavado de platos, volanteo, entre otras. También algunas veces los voluntarios deben ser guías del Tour del Mercado que ofrecemos. Normalmente tenemos 2 horarios en las clases, uno por la mañana y uno por la tarde. Un voluntario traduce las clases de cocina y el otro voluntario hace el servicio, lava y seca platos. Queremos voluntarios que les guste platicar con nuestros clientes, que sean alegres y divertidos. Dependiendo de sus habilidades tenemos otras responsabilidades que pueden desempeñar. Normalmente los clientes dejan propina cuando es una clase muy alegre. Entonces tu actitud es muy importante para la propinas. Es un trabajo muy divertido, somos un equipo muy compacto, amable, además somos la escuela de cocina #1 en Guatemala, especial para Turismo. Los voluntarios tienen incluido el hospedaje y el almuerzo todos los días. Algunas veces la cena, si se trabaja hasta tarde por la duración de la clase. (La mayoría de las veces la comida es Pepían)

  La Antigua Guatemala was the colonial Spanish capital of Central America. It is a World Heritage site, and is perhaps the most popular tourist destination in Guatemala.
  
  The whole city is full of historic buildings, monuments, fountains and ruins. This city was founded by the Spanish in the XVII Century, and it follows the traditional design of a Main Plaza surrounded by Government and Catholic Church buildings. It's worthwhile to visit La Catedral, el Palacio de los Gobernadores, Convento de Capuchinas, Convento de Santa Clara, el Arco de Santa Catarina, Iglesia La Merced and the Handcrafts Market.
