Description
We are a family of four living in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture — located geographically halfway between Tokyo and Osaka. Our home is in a very convenient location, just 20 minutes by bus from Hamamatsu Station on the Shinkansen line.
We’re looking for someone who loves children and enjoys cooking as a part of their daily life. If you’re interested in traditional Japanese culture, food, and lifestyle, we’d love to welcome you!
■ Food & Culture Focus
We especially welcome those who are interested in traditional Japanese cuisine, fermented foods, and soba (buckwheat noodles).
The host is currently learning how to make soba from scratch, and we’d love to share this experience with someone who’s also curious about Japanese food culture.
■ About Our Home
You’ll have free accommodation in our home.
We provide ingredients for dinner, and usually cook, clean, and tidy up together or take turns.
Breakfast and lunch are self-catered at your own expense.
■ Your Tasks
Play with our children
Help with cleaning inside the house and tidying up the garden
Assist with maintaining our bamboo grove
Other small household tasks as needed
■ Working Hours
About 5 hours a day on average (tasks and hours may vary by day)
2 days off per week are preferred
■ What We’re Looking For
Someone who loves spending time with children
Someone who enjoys cooking and has the habit of preparing meals
Someone interested in traditional Japanese food, fermentation, and soba
Japanese speakers are especially welcome
Cooperative, flexible, and positive people are appreciated
We are a warm and easygoing family: a mother, a father, one daughter, and one son.
■ Communication
Our English is quite basic, but we care deeply about communication.
Let’s support each other with gestures, body language, and Google Translate, and learn together!
We hope you’ll enjoy exchanging cultures with us and experiencing the simple, down-to-earth lifestyle of a Japanese family. We look forward to meeting you!Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

=======================
Please play with my daughter and son.We are looking for people who like children and cooking. We may ask you to help with maintenance of the garden and the bamboo forest in the city, as well as DIY.
In the future, We would like to do activities to support the growth of children in the neighborhood. I would be happy if you could help me with anything, such as taking care of my daughter, housework, and helping with house renovations.
Let's enjoy cultural exchange with each other! However, we cannot pay you.
We will prepare ingredients for one meal for each person for dinner. We will take turns cooking. If you did not cook, please clean up.
Let's cook together sometimes. I think I can teach you Japanese home cooking, and I think I can learn your country's cooking from you.
If you have any dietary restrictions (meat, eggs, nuts, etc.), please let us know.
Even if there is availability, stays are usually limited to a maximum of two weeks for the same person.
If it is difficult to follow the rules or if it is determined that you are not a good fit for your family, we may ask you to move out earlier than planned. I prioritize workaway with my family. In that case, I will notify you at least three days before your desired move-out date.
On the other hand, it is also possible to shorten your planned stay. Please let us know at least three days before your move-out date.
Since this will be a long-term shared living arrangement, we are looking for people who can voluntarily help with cleaning and tidying up the shared spaces in addition to the housework required for workaway.
