  Description

  We are a couple, aged 65 (Wim) and 59 (Dominique), and two nice big dogs, located close to the Mediterranean sea, in Muchamiel, near Alicante. A few years ago we bought our nice finca with olive trees, orange trees, etc., where we live now and enjoy it very much.
  
  There was quite a bit of overdue maintenance, we enthusiastically set about making everything beautiful again, and have done already most of the heavy, big work. Because Wim is a pure DIY-er it, it is very unfortunate that he fell off a ladder and damaged his back. Maybe surgery is needed, but we will know more by the end of March. On a short term we are looking for Workawayers who can help out especially in the garden, and also with other maintenance tasks. Because Dominique works full-time at an office in Alicante, she helps out as much as she can.

  The surroundings are very nice, and you can quickly get to the beautiful inland. The city centre of Muchamiel, the beach and the provincial capital Alicante are easily accessible by public transport. We have also bicycle available.
  
  We would love you to get to know our friends and join our activities. We can share construction tasks and other technical skills, and language skills. We would like to cook together and try food from other countries.

  Aide

  Wim has always done a lot of DIY in all kinds of areas, and would really enjoy doing things together with a workawayer and teaching him/her things, but also learning from a workawayer. For example, we would like to build a vegetable garden, but we lack the time and knowledge for this. Also, the existing swimming pool is in need of renovation....
  
  Gardening, light construction tasks, painting, carpentry, all meant to do together, and pleasant company. Also, if necessary, tinkering on our 4x4 car.

  Hébergement

  Bedroom with bathroom, or if the Workawayer prefers, a caravan with a separate bathroom. We prefer to cook and eat together and have a nice evening together. We offer three meals a day (should we go out for dinner then of course we invite the workawayer). There is always enough food, drinks and fruit available.

  We have bikes available, city center from Muchamiel and supermarket at walking distance, beach and Alicante easily reachable by bus.
  We are flexible when it comes to dinner time and helping hours. We can agree on that on a daily basis. Regarding food: we think it would be nice to have the meals together, and if we would go out for dinner, of course the Workawayer will be invited to join us. There will always be enough food, drinks and fruit available.

  We have space on our plot for campervans / motorhomes, and a bathroom in our pumphouse.

  Possibilité d'accueillir les animaux

  It is not a good idea to bring cats because of our two big dogs. Other dogs would be OK. A horse or a donkey would also be nice by the way. Wim used to ride a lot when he was young.
