  Hello, thank you for visiting my profile. I'm Gabi, a naturalist living in my Casa-taller in Santa Fe city with four cats and an urban jungle garden. I work as a landscape architect and also study gardening and biology. I am interested in biodiversity conservation, restoration and an ecological way of life. I try to follow the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) in my daily life. I'm a dynamic, creative and friendly person. I like languages and talk about various topics. I love being in touch with nature, art and enjoy learning something new every day. I'm a traveller and workawayer too. Sometimes I share my house with travellers that rent rooms and volunteers.
  I'm interested in share experiences and make cultural and language exchanges with travellers.

  Hola, gracias por visitar mi perfil. Soy Gabi, una naturalista viviendo en mi Casa en la ciudad de Santa Fe, con cuatro gatos y un hermoso jardín selvático y silvestre. Trabajo como arquitecta paisajista y también estudio jardinería y biología. Estoy interesado en la conservación, restauración y forma de vida ecológica de la biodiversidad. Intento seguir la mayor cantidad de Objetivos y metas de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) que puedo en mi vida cotidiana. Soy una persona dinámica, creativa y amigable. Me gustan los idiomas y conversar de diversos temas. Amo estar en contacto con la naturaleza, el arte y disfruto de aprender nuevas cosas cada día. También soy viajera y workawayer. A veces comparto mi casa con viajeros que se alojan rentando habitaciones y con voluntarios.
  Me interesa compartir experiencias y hacer intercambio cultural y de idiomas con los viajeros.

  You can visit the city, and the litoral landscape around, like Laguna Setúbal (I live 800m. from Costanera de Santa Fe). It is a quiet city, with different museums, parks and ecological reserves. There are a lot of cultural activities for free.
  You can learn about plants, arts and if you stay enough you could participate in an artistic international collaborative mosaic wall art here in my house. And learn and practice Spanish too, because we have always interesting conversations.
  
  Podés conocer la ciudad y su paisaje litoral, como la Laguna Setúbal (vivo a 800m. de la costanera). Es una ciudad tranquila, con diferentes museos, parques y reservas ecológicas. Hay muchas actividades culturales gratuitas.
  Podés aprender de plantas, arte, y si te quedas lo suficiente, participar en un mural de mosaico colaborativo internacional aquí en mi casa. También aprender y practicar el idioma español, ya que siempre estamos teniendo conversaciones interesantes.

  When you write to me, I'll tell you what activities I need help with.
  Generally I need intensive help in the garden (humidity wheater), organizing and moving things, materials, (sometimes a bit heavy) in the house, painting/repairing walls, cleaning the house and spaces before and afte moving things, and cleaning recycled materials. It is physical work and your hands are going to get dirty (bring gloves with you). Also tidy up, clean and help in the house.
  As some jobs require physical effort, I prefer that workawayers be independent people with some experience in this type of work (or building, hang things in walls) and older than 28 or 30 years old, empathetic and can work in humidity places like a garden in Santa Fe.
  
  At this moment I don't have collaborations or activities for artworks, but I can show you my works, and if you want, you can participate in a traveller mosaic here in my house.
  
  A requirement is to have an ecological way of living, recycling and a naturalist attitude in life.
  
  I have cats and turtles, so you have to love animals and don't be allergic to them. Santa Fe is a city with humid weather and with mosquitoes (so bring your repellent! and patience). Summer is really warm/hot and humid.

  Cuando me escribas, te diré en qué actividades necesito ayuda en ese momento.
  Generalmente necesito ayuda intensiva en el jardín (ambiente húmedo). Estoy trabajando muy intensamente en mi casa, organizando y moviendo muebles, materiales, cosas (a veces un poco pesadas) y haciendo reparaciones. Es trabajo físico y te vas a ensuciar las manos (por favor trae guantes). También, arreglar, podar, limpiar y ayudar en la casa.
  Como algunos trabajos requieren esfuerzo físico, prefiero que los viajeros sean personas independientes con cierta experiencia en este tipo de trabajo (o construcción, colgar cosas en paredes) y mayores de 28 o 30 años, que sean empáticos y puedan trabajar en un jardín húmedo como es en la ciudad de Santa Fe.
  
  Por el momento no tengo actividades de artes para que colaboren los voluntarios, pero puedo mostrarte los trabajos que realizo, y si querés podés participar de un mosaico de viajeros aquí en mi casa.
  
  Un requerimiento importante es que tengan una forma de vida ecológica, que reciclen, y una actitud naturalista en la vida.
  
  Tengo gatos y tortugas, así que te tienen que gustar los animales y no deberías ser alérgico a ellos. Santa Fe es una ciudad de clima húmedo y con mosquitos (así que no olvides traer repelente y paciencia). En verano hace bastante calor húmedo.

  Simple bed in living room. Travellers share kitchen, bathroom, garden with me and sometimes other people that could or not live here. You provide your food and cook your own meals(not meat not fries) and we share lunch and dinner time . I am not a vegetarian, but here it's not allowed to not cook meat or fried foods.
  
  It is expected that the traveller's space and common spaces will always remain in order and clean during the stay.
  Sometimes I host two workawayers, when it coincides that one arrives and the other leaves a few days later. I don't have space to host couples.
  
  Not smokers only (and please don't lie about it, I'm tired of smokers who don't tell they smoke until they arrive).
  
  Cama simple en espacio de estar/living. Los viajeros comparten cocina, baño y jardín conmigo y a veces con otras personas que puede o no, estén viviendo aquí. Tu provees y preparas tu propia comida (no frito ni carnes) y compartimos horarios de almuerzos y cena. No soy vegetariana, pero no está permitido cocinar carnes ni fritos.
  
  Se espera que el espacio de viajeros y áreas comunes se mantengan siempre en orden y limpios durante la estadía.
  A veces alojo dos voluntarios diferentes, cuando coincide que uno llega y otro de va unos días después. No tengo espacio para alojar parejas.
  
  No fumadores solamente (Por favor no mientas al respecto, estoy cansada de fumadores que no dicen que fuman hasta que llegan).

  For all those travellers who are or not an artist, and want to come to learn, I started doing trencadis-mosaic art residencies (3 weeks) in my atelier-house, especially for travellers, so, if you want to do an experience like that instead of volunteer, you can ask me for more information. The residency ends with an urban intervention in Santa Fe city. It is a great opportunity to learn the technique and to make an artistic urban production in the middle of your trip!
  
  I already receive in my home travellers from Germany, Brazil, Canadá, UK, Chile, France, Japan, Uruguay, Russia, US of America, Italy, Switzerland, Turkey, Slovenia.

  Para todos aquellos viajeros y viajeras que son o no son artistas y que quieren venir a aprender: en mi casa-taller comencé a hacer residencias artísticas especiales para viajeros (3 semanas), en la técnica de mosaico trencadis. así que si tenés interés en hacer una experiencia de ese tipo en lugar de voluntariado, podés pedirme más información. La residencia termina con una intervención urbana en la ciudad de Santa Fe. Es una gran oportunidad para aprender la técnica y hacer una producción artística urbana en medio de tu viaje!
