  WE SEARCH
  
  Someone to help us with my elderly mother (walks and keeping company), with cooking lunch and light cleaning of the apartment, especially afternoons and some evenings.
  
  My mother is in perfect health, but forgets lots of things, suffers from dementia. The help involves a few hours per day. Most of the time, myself or another professional helper is around. You will have time to work online part-time or study. Some simple cooking and light cleaning involved. Some basic conversational French is required to communicate.
  
  WE OFFER
  
  Food and accommodation, French language learning, yoga, sports and cultural exchange of course. I am a certified French/English language teacher and I also teach yoga, gym, acrobatics and therapeutics. Will be glad to share my skills with you.
  
  You will have your own room, large and cozy with a balcony, direct access to the bathroom, and the use of the whole apartment. You will have a key of the apartment.
  
  We do not have WiFi, but we can lend you a sim card with the 4G. Otherwise, it is easy to acquire a local phone number.
  
  I wrote a complete guide of the house and surroundings, FAQs that I share with the volunteer before arrival.
  
  LOCATION
  
  The apartment is ancient and large, also near the train station Cornavin, city center, in a historical building, room and board included for one guest only. We only ask to switch off electricity when not used, save water and gas, recycle as much as possible. Shops, parks and commodities are all nearby. There is an extra bicycle with a helmet and lock.
  
  FINALLY
  
  We are international, friendly, open-minded, respectful and trustworthy. We were working abroad before. We do not discriminate against race, sexual orientation or religion. We expect the same respectful attitude from the guests.

  NOUS CHERCHONS
  Une personne qui voudrait accompagner une dame âgée atteinte de démence pour les sorties et promenades (environ une/deux heures par jour), puis qui pourrait aider à la cuisine (le repas de midi) et au ménage quotidien mais rapide de la maison. Disponibilité requise les après-midis
  
  NOUS OFFRONS
  Logement et repas bien entendu. Cours de français, yoga, gymnastique et acrobatie si intérêt. Cours de français par tuteur qualifié et polyglotte pour les non-francophones qui désirent se perfectionner.
  
  L'appartement se situe près de la gare Cornavin, vous disposez de votre propre chambre. Genève est une ville internationale avec de nombreuses activités. Le séjour peut se combiner avec une activité personnelle à temps partielle.Je fournis un guide plus détaillé par la suite.
  
  Nous sommes ouverts, binationaux et respectueux. Nous attendons une attitude similaire de la part de nos hôtes.

  Geneva is a wonderful place full of art and culture, with parks nearby. Our main language is French and English, but other languages are spoken: Portuguese, Spanish, French, Italian, Mandarin, Russian, German, Farsi, Arabic, Japanese, Turkish. Great opportunity to learn French, train and practice yoga and acroyoga, Acrobatics and dance, participate and organize cultural events in a multicultural environment.

  Ajuda

  The help involves teaching some physical exercises to one female elderly, and assisting in a gym class with adults (basics acrobatics). Other tasks may involve warming up meals, help with shopping and some basic maintenance of the apartment. Once a month, I need to go abroad for a few days, so we might need more help, then you can take a few days off.

  Acomodação

  In exchange, we can offer lodging, your own large room with a balcony, lunch and dinner (vegan option available). The place is shared with my family with total trust and privacy. The apartment is near public transportation, and everything is within walking distance.

• 

  Algo mais...

  The volunteer will have to opportunity to learn or practice French, learn, practice sports, yoga and Acrobatics and take part of other free activities. Local historical sites (old town, United Nations, Carouge) are within walking distance. I have a bicycle I can lend. The city is also full of parks. In summer, the several beaches are along the lake of Geneva, minutes away by bus or on foot. We collaborate with several health and sport associations.
  If you are looking for a job, you can search ahead on internet, but make sure you have the proper documents. If you are non-EU citizen, you might come on a tourist visa, but you will not be allowed to work.
