Description
I, Gita and my husband Axel are fortunate to have a beautiful home in Andalusia ,Spain where we live with our two teenage kids and two dogs. Our home is situated in a small barrio between two lovely towns, one a white village on a hilltop, the other a busy seaside town. We are surrounded by beautiful national forest and have amazing views of wetlands and blue hills. Our closest beach is ten minutes drive away and lots more to choose from a little further in both directions. The national forest provides lots of walks and gentle hikes right out of the back gate and lots of cycling action as well.
We have lived here seven years and have put a lot of love into creating our home and large garden. The work of maintaining said garden, while a joy, is a lot of hard work and gets a bit overwhelming. So that is where the majority of the work would be done.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

I am originally from Southern Africa, Axel from the UK with Swedish roots and we have lived in South Africa and London. We speak english at home but all have a good level of spanish. In our seven years here we have found a great community of locals and expats who have welcomed us and become our family. The variety of activities available is extensive, hiking and cycling I have already mentioned, of course surfing and kite surfing, lots of yoga to choose from, all manner of dance groups, tai chi etc
And of course getting to know the area's towns and villages with all the seasonal festivals and markets and music.Aide
Most of the help we will need help with is in the garden. Large lawns need mowing, hedges need trimming, compost needs turning, weeds need weeding and a whole lot more. Our garden is quite wild , a mix of ornamental garden and fruit and vegetables. I try to follow permaculture principles and organic techniques for a lovely natural feel.
Small DIY projects also come up such as making a chicken enclosure and fixing fences. Help with cleaning is always welcome!Langues parlées

The accommodation we have to offer is a very comfortable casita (small house) in the garden. It has one double bedroom, a bathroom and a kitchen/living room with extra beds. The kitchen is kitted out with the essentials for making a meal.
I think we would offer two meals a day ... brunch and late lunch (Spanish time) with the family, and helpers can manage the rest themselves in their accommodation.Autres infos...
During time off helpers can enjoy the garden, pool ( in season) and forest. We can be available to help with occasional lifts to the beach and village and shops. Busses are also available to go to the city of Cadiz and some of the further beach spots.
