I shared with Paola and Petr two fantastic winter months in our house in Sicily.
From the very beginning they showed to be very nice people. Helpfull, willing to do anything was needed , always available, very skilled mainly when it came to work in the garden and taking excellent care of our pets. Above all they did everything with enthusiasm and

They had a very positive and enthusiastic attitude and showed respect and discretion throughout their stay.
Paola and Petr also went a few extra miles when there was one of our cats who became sick taking special care of our little Rufy.
Never an issue and always a good mood around the house!
I would strongly recommend Paola and Petr for any work away for their respectful attitude, their skills, their adaptability their willingness to help and above all for their friendliness.
We all hope they will be back some days.
Thank you

THE HOST
From the very beginning, Patrizia was a fantastic host. We never had any issues with communication or anything else; everything went smoothly. She has an easygoing personality and a fascinating life that is well worth knowing about. Patrizia was always
… read more available to guide us, especially when it came to recommending the best pasticcerias in Trapani (haha). It was a pleasure to meet her and some members of her family as well. She was always ready to give us a ride if we needed it or help us in any way.
THE EXTENDED FAMILY
In the doggy area, we had: VALENTINA (the eldest and wisest), LILY (the sweetest), HELLA and ASIA (the playful puppies). They made a fun group to play with, pet, and take for walks. In the kitten area, we had nine beautiful cats, each with their own personality—it was super interesting to get to know them. We already miss them all.
THE LOCATION AND THE EXPERIENCE
We stayed for two months in this countryside house, surrounded by stunning landscapes, just 15 minutes by car from Trapani. If you enjoy being immersed in nature and tranquility, this is the perfect place. We have never had such restful nights of sleep!
The village of Marausa is reachable on foot within 10 minutes. On the main street, you'll find everything you need. The sea is also within walking distance (15 minutes), and the sunsets are absolutely breathtaking.
We stayed in the apartment, which is independent from the main house and has everything you need to feel more than comfortable.
Our main tasks were feeding the animals morning and afternoon and keeping them company. We would often take the dogs for afternoon walks—they loved them! We also did some work in the garden and with the wood.
For us, this was an amazing experience, and we would definitely love to return in the future. We highly recommend this Workaway opportunity if you're considering visiting Sicily.
Being hosted by Patrizia was a fortunate experience. She contacted us after seeing our profile and we came a long ways which ended up working out really well with our travel plans. The weather was beautiful. The dogs, all of them,—Valentina, Asia, Hellas, and Liili, were dogs you would want to take home with you. We became a six pack taking them
… read more for walks. And all the dogs seemed to appreciate going for the shorter walks with Valentina. They were really a pack. Of course Asia, Hellas and Liili loved the longer walks to the beach, too. The dogs were so easy and effortless, except Hellas who like to walk behind you and give you “flat tires” (stepping on the back of your shoe). We are sorry Hellas we didn’t give you a big hug when we left, we would have, had you not rolled in what ever you did the night before. Is it true that the best dogs always like to roll in the grossest things? Well, Valentina never did, though she probabaly did when she was younger. And neither did Asia and Lilly.
Well we were confused about all the cats nine names but they didn’t seem to mind and just told us what to do. Most were indoor and we didn’t have so much interaction, except delivering breakfast and dinner, a few were very shy.. Zizi was the exception. The type of cat that is dog, cat and human rolled all into one. She preferred to sleep with the dogs. Olivo was like Paul, always instigating trouble while indoors. .
Patrizia is a extraordinary woman. A wonderfully calm and peaceful person. A joy to be around and interesting in conversation. In her sharing of her love and pride for Western Sicily we got to learn a little bit about the culture. She treated us with respect and generosity. One funny intersesting anecdote: When Patricia picked us up from the bus stop she was driving—-piano piano.,— when she was driving her daughter(and us), they were late for driving license test, she was Maria Teresa de Filippis behind the wheel. It was fun to be in the car when she drove like that. She really is a great driver, whether slow or fast. Thanks again Patrizia.

Patrizia was our first workaway experience, and we had a wonderful 4 weeks in the house close to Trapani. The house looks almost like a castle and is surrounded by a large

Our task was mainly to feed the animals and keep them company, but also to do some minor work in the garden. We also got to take part in olive picking, which was a fantastic experience.
Patrizia was very welcoming host, bringing sweets and helping to get to know the area and Sicilian culture. She is very kind and interesting person with lots of life experience and travel stories. But it couldn't be different for someone who is taking so much care for animals. She needs to be an extraordinary person.
The family of 4 dogs and 5 cats was welcoming us every morning and was going to sleep with us every evening, we almost became like a family. We miss them a lot.
We are already thinking and trying to schedule our time to go back and stay longer next time.Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

We had the privilege of staying in Marausa, in beautiful Sicily, on a historic property about 200 years old, surrounded by lovely olive groves. The location was ideal, close to the magnificent Sicilian sea and just a short distance from the vibrant city of Trapani.
Our accommodation was in a perfect setting, combining the proximity to the beach

The work was enjoyable and included watering the garden and taking care of the adorable dogs and cats on the property, who won us over with their charming personalities.
The highlight of our experience was undoubtedly the hospitality of Patricia, our host. From the moment we first spoke, Patricia was always attentive and helpful, making sure we felt at home.
We also had the opportunity to enjoy good conversations, great meals, and relaxing moments with her family.
The combination of the natural beauty of the olive groves, the company of the animals, and Patricia's kindness made our stay truly special.
It was a wonderful experience, and we will certainly return. We highly recommend this Workaway.Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

At the beginning it was difficult to find a period that suited both of us, but after we agreed, we had a nice stay. The animals are very cute and easy to care for. The chores around the house were simple and easy to do, giving us plenty of time to explore the area. The house is a bit remote, but with the bikes you can easily get to the village and

If we had any questions, we could always contact Patrizia's sister directly, who lives nearby.Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.
