We really enjoyed our stay in Normandy in this lovely and kind family!🩷 Margaret behaved as our grandmother and she treated us as we were part of her family. So that her son Peter and Jack. Also Bob!
We had great time especially during eating together, it was so nice talking about everything and sharing cultural habits✨

I had the absolute pleasure of staying with Margaret and Bob for about a month and a half, and I genuinely wish I could have stayed longer. From the moment I arrived, I felt an immediate connection with them, like I had found a second family. I never felt like a stranger in their home; instead, I was embraced as a part of the family, sharing

My main role during my stay involved assisting Bob in his daily routine. I helped him wake up in the mornings alongside the nurses, prepared his breakfast, assisted him with getting to the toilet and enjoying the sunshine outside, and most importantly, we spent our days teasing each other and keeping the spirits high! 😂 😂🤣
In addition to helping Bob, I had the pleasure of assisting Margaret—who truly became like a mother to me—with various household chores. Whether it was preparing meals, washing dishes, gardening, cutting trees, or mowing the lawn, I enjoyed every single moment. The beautiful surroundings made it even more enjoyable, with walks around the house and bike rides to the nearby town being some of my favorite pastimes. I also loved visiting Deauville and Honfleur, both easily accessible thanks to Margaret's kindness in driving me to and from the station.
The room I stayed in was spacious and comfortable, with all the amenities I needed to feel right at home. Despite working full-time, Margaret's flexibility made it easy to balance my responsibilities, allowing me to make the most of my stay.
I miss them both dearly and look forward to the day I can return. Margaret and Bob, thank you for everything—I will definitely see you again soon! ♥️♥️♥️♥️Vous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.

Karolina was a delight to host, and we already miss her greatly. She has all the qualities that made her the perfect temporary addition to our family - she is kind, caring and helpful, and has an all-around good natured temperament.

I’ve spent three months with Margaret and Bob, which made for a very special and unique experience. The duties were consistent and included most of the chores related to the household - cleaning, cooking, doing laundry, running some errands, going shopping, as well as taking care of Bob, who by the way is the kindest, funniest, loving person you
… read more will ever meet. There are nurses who come every morning during the week, and on the weekends it was us who took over. It was important to keep Bob moving, so we had plenty of lovely walks around the house and sometimes we would just sit in the sun in a beautiful apple orchard. I was a little nervous beforehand, due to my lack of experience in caretaking, but this has never caused us any problems and I've learned a lot of valuable lessons for which I'm really grateful. I had my own cozy room with the bathroom, and the fridge was always full of good things. Of course, there were also unexpected things happening - chasing the car hauler with our car on top of it and putting the garden in order after a pack of wild boars roamed through it gave me and Margaret some good laughs ;)
The work there will give you the opportunity to slow down, be patient and appreciate small things in life. The surroundings are wonderful and offer a lot of inspiration. If you enjoy walking, or running, it is a perfect place, very peaceful and green. In the spring and summer you can be a maestro in the garden - the space for it is vast and Margaret will surely supply you with all the necessary knowledge. You will hear many interesting stories, taste wonderful cakes and watch loads of great movies.
I appreciated the support and warm welcome from every family member; you will really feel like a part of the family there. As expected - I left glossy-eyed. Thank you Bob, Margaret, Jack, Lin, Peter, Chloe and little Henry - I will never forget my time spent with you all. I wish you all the best and hope for our paths to cross someday :)Feedback
