Description
Help us do the general maintenance of a house at the foot of the mountains in the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise.
It is a typical mountain house surrounded by nature.
The house was abandoned for 16 years and after about 10 years of work we have almost completely recovered it.
We are right between Rome and Naples, two hours from both cities, but the best connection is from Rome. Two hours by bus - there are more than 10 buses a day, including Sundays and public holidays.
We offer a transfer service from the Sora train station, 20 minutes by car.
The nearest village, Campoli Appennino is 6 km away and has a grocery shop, supermarket, bar and pizzeria.
Update: the restoration work is almost finished.
We got a great deal.
There is still some work to be done, but now we mainly need more help in the garden, cleaning the house and the forest: gardening, cutting firewood and harvesting olive oil in November. Also sand old doors and windows and paint them.
We would also like to host Yoga teachers.

they will also have the good fortune to visit the national park of abruzzo, lazio and molise, as well as the opportunity to enter the culture of this part of the wild hinterland of Italy.

You will be living in the house, volunteers have their own bedroom and we share a bathroom and kitchen.
The house is quite big and we have a lot of space available, there is electricity and water.
There is a fireplace and lots of firewood.
We eat lunch together with my family every day and there is also a well stocked kitchen and cooking facilities available. There are two friendly dogs, who all live outside the house.

The stay with Gabriel was very nice! We did some cleaning in the mornings and I taught some yoga classes. In the afternoons we enjoyed the sun, went hiking in the mountains and visited the village nearby. The location is very peaceful and restorative. My two weeks at Gabriele's mountain house was fantastic! It's in a beautiful area with lots of options for hiking in the national park. I was two weeks in the house in the middle of the mountains and I really enjoed all of those days. The place is very beautiful and calm, you have a lots of places to hike and we practice ioga with one of his friends. It was a realy good experience that I will never forget.

I spend two weeks in Gabriele's house and it was amazing. I worked about four hours a day in the garden and it was a great experience. Discovering an incredible life without stress, wifi etc was very nice for me. If you are searching for a quiet place, just go there and Gabriele is a great person. I recomand it !! Thanks a lot

I spent about 2 and half weeks at Gabriel's place. House is surrounded with mountains and view is perfect.To be honest I felt like I am at my home. Alex, nel periodo che è stato da noi, si è dimostrato un ragazzo per bene e molto volenteroso di aiutarci nei lavori della casa. un ragazzo molto socievole che non ha mai creato nessun problema di nessun genere. lo ringrazio per l'aiuto che ci ha dato in queste due settimane... ciao Alex!

Working in the mountains on Gabriele's house was good experience! There were some harder and easier days as far as workload is concerned. Usually 5 or 6 hours. We had a FANTASTIC time with Gabriel. He is a generous, hospitable, and accommodating host. The work is definitely strenuous and you're expected to put in 6 hours of work a day, but Gabriel is thorough in his guidance and is trusting when it comes to working on your own.

I highly recommend working at Gabriele's house. I was there for three weeks and had a lot of fun with him and the other volunteers Ania and Magda. We ate very well everyday and his parents love to converse no matter how poor my Italian was. We also went hiking and saw some incredible views and landscapes of the Lazio area.

This was my first workaway experience, and I loved it! I stayed for a week and enjoyed working in the sun, learning some Italian and playing with the dogs.
