HELP NOW LOOKING FOR LONG TERM VOLUNTEER FOR GARDENSITTING FROM NOVEMBER 2025- MARCH 2026
Hi everybody, I'm Daniele, an easy going, open minded, free spirited guy of 1968 from Catania, Sicily :)
In 1990 I started my own production of mediterranean plants and potted ones.
In the same year, State Railway of Italy granted me a railway line section which also included an old train station and a 1000 square meter tunnel made by lava stone where I started a seasonal production of mushrooms.
It's been more than 35 years already, and the old train line has become a beautiful green road of Mediterranean essences that has spread troughout the entire property, which includes a vast vivarium of Aloe Vera (I also produce gel for therapeutic treatments, and soaps from them).
Inside my Oasis there is no shortage of hammocks and caravans sheltered from the sun by thick vegetation.
From a couple of years I'm interested to the cultivation of my own vegetable garden.
I love cooking and I organize cooking classes.
I've just refurbished the old train station which became a small house.
I love travelling around the world whenever I get the chance to do so.
I'm just asking for help in my home,Garden and cats.

Since I am going traveling myself from NOVEMBER, I am now looking for a work awayer or couple that wish to help me with watering the plants in my garden and feeding my cats .
HELP
I look for someone or a couple who will help me out with maintenance of my garden, watering plants and taking a few minutes every day to feed my cats .
I am asking for help with these tasks:
# Watering the plants in the garden. It takes approx 2 hours every once or twice a week, depending on the weather.
# Feeding the cats and the every day. This takes approximately 10 minutes and I always feed the cats in the evening.
There are no fixed hours (besides feeding the cats), but tasks throughout the week. The hours you need to help depend on the weather -if it rains you don’t water. You have to be flexible that way :-)
Hours will be min 3 hours - max 8 hours per week.
ACCOMMODATION
In exchange for this help I offer you a stay in one of the BnB rooms with a private bathroom.
Since it is garden sitting and I am not here, you will have to provide your own food. You can of course use my kitchen to cook but you need to keep it clean, especially when there are guests staying.
I am looking for someone or a couple who will help me out with maintenance of my garden, keeping the house clean, watering plants.Workawayers won't be helping with any business related tasks at my B&B.

I live in one of the most beautiful areas of Sicily and you don't need to stroll far to find stunning views and beautiful walks. Aci Castello (where I live) and Aci Trezza are two beautiful towns by the sea, one next to each other, plenty of bars and restaurants. 45 mins away by bus and you can get to the main city, Catania, full of history and traditions. the city night life it is also pretty amazing.

An amazing and very authentic Italian experience that we'll never forget. Great location next to the sea and a beautiful garden. Really good place. I had a great time in sicily. The view from the fungaia is very beautiful. The place is nice. Daniel is a traveller and has a lot of funny stories to tell. If you have time to spend in Sicily definitly go there.
