Staying in the château and living with Emma, Ross and the two kids, Arthur and Scarlet, has been a great experience for me. The place really has a magical atmosphere... Feito pelo anfitrião para o Workawayer (Rayne)
Rayne was an absolute delight to have to stay and workaway - a true credit to the programme. Rayne is good fun, very organised and works hard on the projects. She always approaches everything with a smile, energy and humour. Whilst she was here Rayne did a variety of tasks including chestnut beam paint removal (splashes in rough wood, no mean feat

Her interest in history and the same sorts of books and programmes as me was just an added bonus - in short fabulous! We very much hope Rayne will come back to us in September to be our au pair for a while. In the meantime thank you so much Rayne and the very best of luck with your travels and advantures we very much hope to see you in the autumn x

Feito pelo anfitrião para o Workawayer (Sara & Scott)
If you get the chance to have Sara and Scott come to stay grab it with both hands super quick! They are both lovely, easy going and hard workers. We are looking forward to seeing them we hope soon x Sara is fun, organised, practical, fearless with bugs and beasties and has a great sense of humour - she also reads a lot and is fab with children.

Scott is a delight, he is hard working, detail orientated, incredibly practical, fun ad kind - if there is a disaster (not that we had any) he’ll just get on and muck in. He’s also fantastic with kids, really important in our family household ✨. Scott is great at computers and resolved our incredibly difficult internet issue (he’s a pro so the meter thick walls needed a workaround), sorted programming the radiator thermostats, chopped wood - so did Sara, walked dogs everything and anything. These guys were here in January which is the most extreme time - they were abs are awesome! Thank you guys x

My partner Scott and I had the pleasure of staying with Emma, Ross, Arthur, Scarlet, and their large clan of animals in January 2022. It was our first Workaway and we could not have asked for a better experience! We got along with everyone so well. Perfect for people who don't love routine (like us) - something new to do and learn every single day

Thanks so much for everything, we miss it so much and can't wait for when we can come back! Gros bisous!Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

Where do I even start. First off i'd like to apologize for my super late feedback. My nomad lifestyle and technology do not go hand in hand. If you're lucky enough to join the Millar clan prepair yourself for lots of laughs, lots of love, care from the kindest, and just all around a cool family.
Ross, Emz and of course Scar and Aurther, thank
… read more you for the memories of a lifetime. This was not only my first workaway, but also my first time traveling alone. I was 19 at the time and quite nervous as you may imagine and, may even be feeling yourself. Although I was anxious about leaving home Ross made super easy. He's a great at communicating. I mean the second I got off the plane he was texting me and voice memoing me every step of the way. He navigated me from the airport in Bordeaux to Mont-de-marsan. It was so easy at one point I was like there no way i'm going the right way, it can't be this easy! Before I knew it I stepped off the train, where Ross greated me and drove me to fairy land, I mean the chateau. I always admired that although Ross is often busy with his work, he always took the time to chat with you when he could. If it's questions about life, work or really anything in between he can teach you a lot. Ross, you're a real one thank you. (brownie points if you bring him chocolates on arrival, trust me)
Emz! My soul sista, life mentor, and just the best human. Kind and grounded are the words i'd use to describe Emz. I really cherished the time we spent together. From blasting Buddah Bar in the car on our way to explore a new town, wine runs, deadly roundabouts, and taking care of frusturated penguins, our memories are forever in my heart. Emz lives a bit of a double life and you get the best part of her. Gardening Emz, Tea time Emz, and life talk Emz. She's the genuinly one of the best people i've ever met. (And a pretty dang good vlogger)
And let me tell you they have some of the coolest kiddos, their so special but you'll just have to see for yourself
Hi Scar and Aurther <3 <3
I really enjoyed the work I did at the chateau. I spent a lot of time painting and I got to do so because I had the freedom chose what I wanted to do that day. One of the best things about Ross and Emz is they always make sure you're enjoying the work you do and they make sure to swich it up all the time so you're never bored. When I was not painting I spent my time transplanting roses, making rose arches, furniture shopping and sometimes lending a hand with the horses stalls. You get your own room which was awesome. You also get to eat meals with the family, where you'll have some fun and intesrting conversations. After dinner you can play pool in the billiards room if you fancy.
You get oppertunities to cook if you'd like. One time I made probably the worst meal of anyones lives for dinner and yet, they let me cook again! How awesome is that. So don't worry if you can't cook. (Emz makes a mean meal herself and loves company and a helping hand in the kitchen).
Let me tell ya, I love these people. They are good and genuine people and I know you'll feel the same if you get the lucky enough to get to know them. Thanks for having my back and welcoming me with an open heart guys. Cheers, hope to see you soon!Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

Adam was absolutely fantastic! If you get the chance to have him stay with you snap it up! We were lucky enough to have Adam come to stay with us and return on 2 occasions - we really hope to see him again soon. He was a very good influence on everyone who met him here, he is great with other volonteers and a team player. I believe all the volonteers who he was here with are staying in touch and travelled on together a little afterwards.

Staying with Emma, Ross, Arthur and Scarlet was one of the most beautiful things ever! We felt welcomed by all of them immediately and became part of the family quickly. The animals will prevent that, because although they are really nice, they like to escape and eat all sorts of things ;) We are so grateful for the weeks we stayed here and will definitely come back as soon as possible.
