Hi there :)

I'm Yannick, an open-hearted, sun-loving German with a passion for the environment, sustainable development, cultural exchange and good food. As a language enthusiast, I just embarked on my next mission to learn Arabic. The idea is to travel through several Arab countries and look for opportunities to immerse myself in local culture and projects. Voluntary work has always been a passion of mine as it's a great way to connect with people and stop feeling like a tourist.

Before my travels I worked as a wildlife ecologist and was a teacher for climate change and energy saving topics. I've also worked as a newspaper journalist before, trained people in communication and presentation skills and organized ecological youth seminars.

I like people with DIY mentalities and truly enjoy working in a team. It's fascinating to meet people from different backgrounds and get inspired by their stories, projects and ideas. At the same time, you never know how many people you might inspire yourself as you go along.

I've volunteered in an environmental education center in France for a year, helped construct an ecological lodge in Ecuador, supported an environmental NGO in Brazil, led an international student organization in Denmark and am currently part of the German Scientists for Future group that factually supports young climate activists.What is the next project going to be? :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Communication is one of my strenghts, wether it's scientific discourse, teaching kids and young adults or simply everyday discussions in different languages. I have a background in climate change and environmental sciences, geography, meteorology and wildlife ecology.

As a strong believer in DIY and life long learning, I also bring some experience in rennovation and hostel work and I'm ready to work on the grounds, do gardening and getting my hands dirty. I'd consider myself a quick learner, good with most tools you give me and physically resilient.

Last but not least, life would be meaningless without some music and dancing skills as well as (most importantly) humor :)
