Greetings! I'm Wesley, hailing from the welcoming embrace of Canada. In a nutshell, I embody the spirit of a perpetual learner, fueled by an insatiable curiosity that extends to the diverse wonders of our world, including language, culinary delights, and cultures. My life's journey is a quest for rich and unparalleled experiences.

I count myself incredibly fortunate to have ventured across the globe, setting foot in over 30 countries spanning five continents (with Africa still on my horizon). My adventures have included participating in an Au-Pair program in Taiwan, embarking on a working holiday in Australia, and most recently, immersing myself in a semester abroad in Mexico while pursuing my Bachelor's degree in International Studies.

What compels me to explore the world is the recognition that it is teeming with beauty waiting to be discovered, a multitude of extraordinary people with whom to connect, and a treasure trove of fascinating knowledge to acquire. These experiences, in their entirety, enrich our brief and precious lives in ways that words can hardly capture.

I aspire to potentially become a professional English teacher and am eager to gain more experience. My background includes six months as an Au-Pair in Taiwan, teaching English creatively to four children. I have also provided one-on-one tutoring and hold a TEFL certificate. Language learning is my passion, with ongoing efforts to improve my Spanish, start learning Portuguese, and explore Arabic basics.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have over 10 years of work experience in a wide variety of jobs, in different parts of the world that were predominantly customer service jobs in restaurants, hotels, and retail banking as financial advisor. In addition, I've also worked as a cook, English tutor, and even did short-term labor jobs at a farm picking fruits and painting houses. All of these roles have contributed significantly to my adept communication skills which I believe is the most important skill to possess when working in any environment. Outside of work, I spend lots of leisure time at home cooking, gardening, and fixing things around the house as well. Hence, I love to work with my hands and use my creativity so solve problems and improve things for better living.. I can speak 5 languages (English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Japanese, and Spanish), enabling me to effectively communicate with people of various backgrounds. Overall, I consider myself a very adaptable and versatile individual that loves to learn new things whether it's building a house, caring for farm animals, or preparing classes for kids, I'm ready for any challenge!
