Autumn and I met in college and quickly realized we were kindred spirits. We both graduated with degrees in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University. Both of us have a passion for this Earth and all of its inhabitants and we are gentle, adventurous, and compassionate. We backpacked across Europe for 2 months so this isn’t our first rodeo and know we work well as a team and read each other well! We aren’t a couple but rather the best of friends.

Vera:
Curiosity has always brought a certain motivation to my life, one that encourages me to explore the world with open eyes, inquisitive ears, and a welcoming heart. I find delight in new experiences, new communities, and forging new friendships. I take satisfaction in being close to nature whether it be through swimming, hiking, gardening and cooking, or horseback riding. I currently work at an environmental justice non-profit in rural Oklahoma. I am looking for experiences where I can learn more from nature and bring that inspiration with me to my work. We as living beings are constantly becoming, evolving, and learning! I am empathetic, hard-working, thoughtful, bright, and very caring. I enjoy art of all kinds, including but not limited to, watercolor, photography, writing, and drawing. I think these work exchanges are a wonderful way to bring more reciprocity to my life. Thank you for taking the time for us!

Autumn:
I have always had a heart for travel, for building community and connection with others, and experiencing other cultures. To gain experience and perspective is truly living to me, so doing a workaway exchange would be so rewarding and wonderful to experience! I am also looking for a space in which we can form bonds through pouring into each other as well as the land we reside on, giving back to the spaces that allow us to be there. I am currently living in Austin, Texas, my hometown, working as a server in order to have the flexibility to take trips like this when I can. My passions truly lie in the people. To understand each other and better ourselves through each interaction is the point of humanity.. I am definitely an acts of service person, so I am just happy to help provide my services in whatever that looks like to the hosts! I am very driven and determined to do my job well, whatever that consists of, so put me to work! I’m ready to help! I love music, journaling, swimming, reading, and forming friendships, so I look forward to finding the perfect space for Vera and I to find this and flourish in. Quelles sont vos compétences ?

As recent graduates of Colorado State University we both hold a degree in Human Development and Family Studies, and Vera also has a minor in Women and Gender Studies. This degree has expanded our interpersonal skills, our interests in social justice, and our knowledge surrounding the development, health, and the well-being of individuals and families. From this education we also gained experience planning non-profit programs and running them effectively. Vera also has experience with working and caring for horses and in equine assisted therapy. She has also worked in prairie restoration and community gardening. Autumn has experience in working ABA therapy with children on the spectrum, as well as victims of sexual violence of all ages.
