Hiya! We are Tim de Koning (22 years old from the Netherlands🇳🇱) and Layla Hadlow (19 years old and from Australia🇦🇺). We are an engaged couple that met in Australia while Tim was traveling and we are currently realizing our dream to travel together! We would love to exchange cultures, learn new languages and gain life experiences:)
Tim has been traveling for around 4 years where he’s done some workaway as well. Furthermore, he volunteered in an Animal Rescue Centre in Costa Rica where he was in charge of the howler monkeys!🐒 In 2022, he did a lot of dogsitting and dog walking in the Netherlands, so animal experience enough haha:) He also loves to make music🎼 In New Zealand and Australia, Tim travelled around in his small campervan. He has got a lot of farming experience from his time in New Zealand🐄 When we met each other, Tim had a pretty cheap inhabitable van that we together completely turned into a very cozy campervan🛠️(We can be pretty handy at times haha) We travelled around the East coast of Australia with it for 3 months, having all crazy adventures, jobs and experiences with each other!!🚐
Layla on the other hand has worked in a gym for the last 5 years🏋️ She has had a dog, cats and other animals for most of her life. Layla loves to be creative, make art and she would like to get better at videography. For Layla, it’s been a lifelong dream to learn about winery and live on a vineyard. We would love to turn this dream into reality and find the perfect host.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I did the highest level of education in English in the Netherlands, which caused me to speak very good English. Currently I study Psychology in the VU, a University in Amsterdam. I’m very athletic, which gave me the opportunity to play soccer at a high level in the Netherlands. I also have experiences with working with animals.

I love Buddism and I would really like to learn so much more about it. I’m also very interested in the psychology behind criminology. I like all sorts of games: cards, boardgames, soccer etc. At last, I would like to improve myself and others.
