Hi folks!
After a busy summer of pet-sitting, I'm looking for cozy places close to nature which need an extra pair of hands.
Happy to chip in with gardening, child care, cooking, or anything else you need help with. I pick up new skills quickly!
I've done lots of Workaways in the past, so I have some experience with animal care and permaculture farms because of that.

ABOUT ME:
*British (mostly), 30, I've lived in 6 countries and travelled to more than 20. I moved abroad when I was 21 and haven't looked back since!
*I'm a big fan of animals and their antics. They make everything a little better (and a little more chaotic). I love dogs and long walks 🐕 I love cats and getting comfy on the couch 🐈‍⬛ Once, I lured an escaped coati back into its enclosure using a secret superpower (it was banana yoghurt).
*Being creative is one of the things that makes me happiest. My favourite hobby is creative writing, and I regularly share my work in poetry open mics. I also work as an art model for life drawing events, as part of a collaborative art collective.
*I'm a calm, organised, responsible person. Also, I'm very curious! I like to learn new things - words in another language, how to unclog a sink, which food most reminds someone of their childhood...
*I love to spend time outdoors and go on long walks. I do also love to take photographs and pause to identify trees and plants. So my walks usually involve a lot of stopping!

FUN FACT: I tried wild swimmg for the first time last year, and it was amazing! I'm keen to repeat the experience.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

*Pet Sitting (happy to provide references) - It's been just dogs and cats so far, but I'm looking for a bigger challenge!
*Cooking - I have kitchen experience from working as a kitchen assistant and barista, as well as from cooking shared community meals for a Buddhist Meditation Centre.
*Cleaning - I can scrub a bathroom until it's spotless, and have worked in several hostels as a cleaner. Recently, I deep-cleaned and decluttered a basement art space (removing mould from the fridge was a "highlight").
*Online Marketing, Social Media, Administration - I successfully ran my own freelance business providing these services, and worked mostly with entrepreneurs and small business owners.
*Being Generally Useful - Need someone to amuse a small child, so you can pee in peace? Want help carrying something? Have an errand you'd like someone to run? I can do these things (and will offer to do them, unprompted) & many more!

Autres infos...

I'm interested in learning more about wild food & foraging, gardening (veggie patches, polytunnels, fruit trees), permaculture, and animal care (chickens, pigs, ducks). I hope to have my own smallholding one day!
I'd also love to get involved with some renovation and building projects,as that's also something I'd like to do myself in the future.
