Description
Hi! My name is Sydney and I'm 28 years old, originally from the USA, in California. I've been an avid traveler for over a decade and truly love the workaway style of traveling.
I've been working on a dairy farm in rural Norway for the past year now -- I've been milking cows, calving, putting up/maintaining fencing, herding/moving cows, planting and harvest work, forestry work, as well as helping with salmon fishing and all the other things that go on around the farm.
I will be leaving Norway November 1 due to visa requirements. I'm looking for Workaway opportunities to continue my experience working with animals and around rural properties.
Activities I enjoy are hiking/long walks, reading & writing, cooking, music, and learning anything new. In general, anything that allows me to spend time outdoors is a good time for me.
I'm happy to help with all kinds of tasks in order to maintain your home, property or projects -- anything from basic house chores to mucking out animal pens. -

Sydney had some active weeks with us, experiencing goat birth and bottle feeding, castration if pigs, kittens being born, as well as the day to day life of the animals, helping out where it was needed.
