Hello, we are a couple traveling, Jacob and Caro. We are motivated by travel, exploration, and outdoor adventure. We are also passionate about environmental conservation, education, sustainability, regenerative agriculture, nutrition, spirituality, meditation, and all those good things. We enjoy time with a community, meeting new people, and diving into different cultures and different ways people live their lives all over the world.

I have a Bachelors of Science in Tourism, Recreation, & Adventure Leadership. I am pursuing a career as a professor.
For the past two years I have worked as a Tour Operator at a Tourism Agency in Israel. I have extensive experience planning and operator trips and events. I also have extensive customer service experience, specifically with tourists.
I have years of experience in the restaurant industry as a cook/ sous chef.
I have a moderate experience teaching (kids and adults), construction/carpentry, and farming/agriculture.
I have minimal experience in wilderness medicine, CPR, and wilderness first aid.
I have minimal experience leading yoga, as well as communication groups.
Hobbies: I love to rock climb, slack-line, surf, whitewater kayak, raft, snowboard, ski, skateboard, juggle, acro-yoga, backpack, paint, draw, and more.

I really enjoyed staying with Betsey and Denise. They were both very welcoming and hospitable. We ate dinners together and talked about local culture and how much Queenstown has changed over the years. I enjoyed listening to their stories and sharing some of my own. I recommend anyone considering volunteer wortk in Queenstown to stay with them.

Living with this family was an absolute pleasure. I would highly recommend staying with them for anyone who is looking for a warm, kind, and comfortable home. Jacob is wonderful person to have around the house. He built a very cool tree house for our son who also enjoyed playing with him. He is great communicator, and excellent cook, and good company. He is welcome back any time.
