Description

Travel update: heading to Melbourne from Auckland 11th November. Open to a WorkAway from mid to end of November in Melbourne. Then to Sydney in the new year :)

We’re a British/Czech couple on an extended adventure to the other side of the world. We're now at the end of a 15 months kiwi adventure, travelling and working in New Zealand, and now have our sights set on Australia! We've done 10 wwoofing/WorkAway's between us so far and love it! We’re ideally looking to help out somewhere for at least couple of weeks if things work out, but open to shorter stays too :) We’re looking to bring our skills to help out on garden, farming, environmental and building/maintenance projects. We are lovers of nature, animals, meeting new people and always open to new adventures!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Sophie works in landscape design and gardening and has a keen interest in permaculture (sustainable design). Before travelling she had an awesome job in London planting trees with school kids and volunteers. She now teaches garden design and horticulture online. She loves practical work too and recently spent four months working as a landscape gardener where she got pretty skilled at trimming hedges!

Adam has worked in construction his whole career, starting with scaffolding before getting into construction management. He has plenty of knowledge and practical skills to help with building work and property maintenance. He loves working outside, being in touch with animals and has a growing interest in horticulture - he's now a skilled and serious pruner of grape vines. He can drive and use a wide range of vehicles and tools (even a crane!).

We both have a strong work ethic, enjoy being helpful and are conscientious and thorough with everything we do. We think we’re pretty good cooks, and love a good conversation round the dinner table too :)

Autres infos...

We love all creative and outdoor pursuits. Sophie plays guitar and piano, sings and writes comedy songs, paints and draws. Adam’s secret skills are juggling and creative writing. We recently got the hang of canoeing and had a great time surviving the rapids on the Whanganui river! We love hiking and meeting animals too.
