Hi! I’m Sophie, a 25 year old social worker from the U.S. who just finished my graduate program and is excited to travel and explore before starting my career. I’m passionate about food (I eat everything!), love spending time in nature, and enjoy being active. I enjoy connecting with people on a deeper level while also having a lighter/goofier side. I’ve backpacked around Europe and Asia, and I’m fluent in English with an interest in learning new languages (trying to learn a bit of Spanish and Japanese!). I have experience in hospitality, office work, babysitting, and hands-on projects—I studied computer science and dabbled in robotics in high school—so I can help with cooking, gardening, building, or other practical tasks. I’m drawn to New Zealand for its stunning nature, the chance to escape Boston’s freezing winter, and the opportunity to learn about local culture and lifestyle. I bring a positive attitude, curiosity, and a willingness to help, and I’m excited to contribute to your community while having a meaningful and fun adventure.

My name is Caroline, I am a 25 year old from the US looking to explore New Zealand! I am a counselor by trade as I just finished my masters degree in counseling, but I am excited to learn new skills and ways to contribute to my community. Outside of counseling, I have experience in hospitality roles, food service, retail, and child care. I love being outdoors, hiking, swimming, playing volleyball, and being active. I am around 182 centimeters, so I can definitely be helpful in putting things up in high spaces. I am hardworking and eager to learn, so I am excited to be helpful in whatever way that I can!

I just completed my Master’s in Social Work and have strong people skills, with experience working in non-profits and project planning. I’m hardworking, adaptable, and eager to learn. I also have experience in hospitality, office work, babysitting, and hands-on projects—I studied computer science and dabbled in robotics in high school—so I can help with cooking, gardening, building, or other practical tasks. Additionally, my grandparents own an avocado farm in California, so I’m familiar with the agricultural world as well!

I love playing games! I’m an avid Yahtzee player, currently learning GO, and enjoy almost any kind of game. I’m active, love playing volleyball, and am excited to try surfing. I also enjoy hiking, spending time in nature, and curling up with a good book. I’m interested in learning more about environmental conservation and restoration. My family has been avocado farmers for six generations, and I’m always curious to learn more about agricultural work as well.
