Description

Hi! My name is Sofía and I’m from Mexico. I am currently on a gap year and looking for new experiences that can broaden my perspective before starting university. I love learning about different cultures, languages, and traditions, and I believe the best way to do so is by sharing daily life with local people and communities.

I consider myself an open-minded, adaptable person who is always exited to learn new things. What motivates me the most is discovering new skills and getting to know myself better through collaboration and cultural exchange.

I’m passionate about history, medicine, and scientific knowledge, but I also have a creative side—I love singing, painting, and photography. I’ve been swimming since I was a child, and I also love hiking and playing voleyball . In addition, I’ve taken part in public speaking competitions and Model United Nations (MUN), which have helped me develop strong communication and teamwork skills.

I truly value the warmth of my culture and I’m excited to share it with others while learning from the richness of theirs.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I’m a responsible and adaptable person, and I really enjoy meeting new people.

I can cook a variety of dishes, especially traditional Mexican dishes (sometimes a little spicy). I also have experience taking care of dogs and cats, so I’m happy to help with pets. I speak Spanish and English fluently, I have an intermediate level in French. I’d love to both teach and learn new languages while staying with a host.

Music and creativity are very important to me. I have some piano skills, but singing is my main strength, I know vocal techniques and practice exercises. I’m also really into photography and video editing, and I can use different digital tools for creative projects. I’ve taken courses in painting and human figure drawing, so I can help with artistic activities too.

I have two younger brothers and a niece whom I babysit. So I love playing and taking care of children. I enjoy keeping my space clean, so I can also assist with household cleaning. I’m also comfortable with basic gardening and outdoor activities.
