Description
I'm currently traveling on a gap year. Prior to starting my travels I was a registered nurse in a hospital.
During my free time I can often be found outside. Mostly hiking. I also enjoy gardening and all that comes with it such as cooking and preserving. Until this year I had kept a garden for several years.
I am an avid reader and a lifelong learner. I tend to pick up non-fiction books or classics. This year I am really hoping to increase my language skills, particularly in Spanish and French.
Through my profession and life I have developed a great love for people. I enjoy every opportunity to get to know someones story, as well as different prespectives.
I grew up in a rural area helping my grandparents with their small farm, mostly a veggie garden and poultry. Through this and other life experiences, I have learned how to work independently and using various skills and tools. I'm always seeking opportunities to improve my skills and add more.

I'm excited for opportunities to learn skills I don't currently have or to build on ones I do. I usually pick up things pretty quick. My profession is a nurse caring for adults in US hospitals. I have had a garden for many years and enjoy preserving the food I have grown. I have experience caring for animals and children. I enjoy cooking and seek out new recipes and techniques to learn with my travels. With guidance from others I have helped with building projects using a variety of tools.
