Hello,
My name is Simon, I'm 50 years old and originally from North Macedonia. After spending the last 15 years living in Australia, I've decided to return to Europe.
Most of my professional background is in civil engineering, particularly in the mining industry and local government. I've also held various roles in the not-for-profit sector, including with the Australian Red Cross and supporting people with special needs.
I've been fortunate to travel across Europe, South America, India, and Southeast Asia, which has given me the opportunity to experience and appreciate a wide range of cultures.
In addition to my engineering experience, I’m also familiar with painting and varnishing, light construction work, kitchen hand duties, and cleaning. I'm flexible with working hours and open to different types of responsibilities. I’m also quite skilled with Microsoft Excel—if you need help with tutorials or setting up spreadsheets, I’d be happy to assist 😊
When it comes to languages, I speak English and all Balkan Slavic languages fluently, and have a beginner-level understanding of French and Italian.
My plan for the next few years is to travel and join different established communities, ideally ones that grow and cook their own food. I’d love to gain hands-on experience in gardening, farming, animal care, and if possible, building with natural materials.
I hope I will be able to contribute meaningfully to your daily activities, always respecting the community guidelines you have in place.

The past 6 weeks were great combination of physical therapeutic work, amazing food and hanging out with the other volunteers, surrounded by beautiful nature.
And on top of that, your willingness to help us on our day off.
There is a reason why you have so many people that have comed to your place in all these years.

Simone was a great help. He helped us with painting walls and feeding animals. He also took care of the farm while we went on a little holiday. Simone is great company - kind, intelligent with a lot of life experience.
