The horse project
Our method aims at teaching children (and adults) how to handle and ride horses independently, building mainly on the child’s self-confidence and instinctive learning desire, encouraged by local kids “living” on horseback. The program offers an alternative way to experience the thrills of cross-country or trail riding for those who are not comfortable with classical European horsemanship, elegant stables and the military-style training of riders and horses used at most locations. We find it important to give ample respect to all participants, be they two or four-legged, young or old, so we use modern natural horsemanship techniques (Monty, Parelli) mixed with ancient riding and horse keeping methods from Central Asia and Europe.
We are looking for a single equestrian professional or a horse-loving family who can engage in our horsey activities for at least 2 weeks. Preference given to those familiar with non-violent training or have kids that ride themselves.
Zero waste lifestyle project:
Members of our small community strive to reduce their carbon footprint continuously, all agreeing on the final goal being zero emissions or waste, but proceeding at different speeds. (Basic rule: never judge anyone, all of us are trying our best. Spend 99% of your energy bettering your own zero waste techniques, and only 1% on offering advice to others:).
Current projects: Building of Yurt Platforms, Earth houses, green decks and roofs, irrigation systems, reed bed waste water plants, organic furniture, rocket stove mass heaters, and many other permaculture designs from reclaimed or reused materials.
We welcome all inspiration, initiatives and good examples at reducing our waste stream collectively and independently - from all volunteers. We attempt to minimize our impact during construction and site development, going to such extremes as using wooden pegs and organic glues instead of nails or screws, coppicing timber from our own land, planting trees for future CO2 offsets, using roundwood construction (eg. Ben Law) instead of sawmill lumber, using hand tools where feasible, minimizing use of electric/petrol engines, purchasing carbon credits for business-related impacts. Engineers, carpenters and architects will be co-ordinating the work, providing a great opportunity to learn practice and theory simultaneously, on site.
We are looking for social and hardworking person(s) or family (only one member is asked to work) who have experience in woodworking, DIY, building, fixing, or have a larger than usual desire to learn.
Spiritual retreat and yurt camp
We are offering accommodation in two yurts (at present), and planning on organizing fasting weekends, yoga camps, meditation and mindfulness workshops, sacred medicine rituals, sweat lodges, shamanic nights… We have the intent, space and support, but need a dedicated person, preferably a yoga instructor or spiritual advisor, who would eventually lead this program with shared profits or pass on the knowledge to a suitable successor. Of course, anyone with a mindful and loving attitude is welcome to share their energies.
Language practice
The core community has 4 children and several adults who speak varying levels of English and Spanish. We are looking for individuals or/and family(ies) who are willing to communicate in English or in their native language so as to support the community members' language practice. We would like to experience a “total immersion” environment where we can pick up or better the language faster than using more traditional methods. Longer stays are welcome.
If you apply, please choose one or more from the projects above.Langues

They gave me a little shack to live in and basically left me there. If you offer help, somehow it doesn't work. They tell you what's needed around the property and can or can not help with that, on your own. Rarely they came and asked help for specific activities.

It was such a pleasure to stay with Ron, Kata, Bejke and Csongi. I enjoyed a lot all the activities , they proposed. I learned a lot as milking the cows, making pasta, and we spent also nice time gardening, building, feeding animals, experimenting horse riding and playing with children. But it is not all,… read more
